Ok so sounds stupid but makes sense especially after watching the new Indie.
-Thousands of years ago a Alien spaceship crashed on the island.
-Natives to the island worshiped it and built temples and stuff... fast forward... Darma found the island and started doing research and building advanced technology from the space ship.
-Ben used the ships warp drive or something to move the island.
-The everlasting ships power source powers the island and created magnetic fields.
-The smoke monster is some kind of alien being/weapon...
-The Darma played with the space ships toys too much and messed something up, throwing the island off time.
- Jacob is really an alien.
Explains a lot but there is a lot of other stuff that still doesn't make sense....
