Ben is Still not a Good Guy....

Face it, Ben is in Love with his Island, and he will do anything to protect it from "Bad" (good) guys.

For sure, ben does not want anybody to know about the island. So, why did he let the O6 leave?? Its just a big game to him. I think he let them leave, to gain trust. He promised he would let them go, so "he is a man of his word".

Now Ben tells jack, they ALL have to go back. But claire tells kate, dont you dare bring him back....Sry, ben, but i'll go with claire. Ben wants them back on the island for some reason. I think the reason is, payback. Ever since the plane crash landed on the island, ben went from glory, to being treated like sh*t. So he will bring them back, and restore his island...

i think the next season, will be about Ben ,Claire, and Aaron.

duh he had that planned. he told all the losties that the other people were coming to kill them. even though ben stabbed that dude in the neck, he still killed them when his heart stopped and he blew up the freighter

I don't think Ben is a good or a bad guy....he is HUMAN and I think he took revenge on Keamy because he killed his daughter and at the time he didn't care about the others on the freighter, however if he didn't have a heart or didn't care he wouldn't have told Kate and the others to save themselves and get off the island. Also he showed a lot of respect towards Locke once they came to understanding. He was honestly doing what was best for everyone on the island (more so for the island of course) but I don't think he's necessarily a bad guy :)

I think his actions regarding allowing the freighter to blow up was strictly because he had soo much rage over Keamy killing his daughter, but I think he had the best of intentions in the end. He's a little selfish regarding the island and I DO think Ben has a "bad" side to him meaning he'll kill anyone that gets in the way of exposing the island (as in he has Sayid be his hitman) but all in all....I think he's one of the good guys :)

Ben is a very bad person! Did you really think that he was good?

He is bad on many levels.

The first thing that comes to mind is how he never divulges any secretes even when it may be helpful to anyone else.

I don't think any of the characters... except for Keamy... are good or bad. Its just who you relate to more. Ben is definitely the most manipulative but who's to judge whether he's justified or not?

I agree that Ben shouldn't be trusted. Like his daughter (can't think of her name) said "Ben is good at making you think it was your idea". He is very manipulative & in the end it's always for the better of himself or the island. I mean, he did move the island knowing he could never come back & that was pretty selfless of him. Although, I'm sure there's more to it, especially when it comes to Ben. Personally, I think Ben can see flashes of the future, which is why he is always 2 steps ahead of everyone else.

Also, remember that Locke also told Jack that he needed to come back. At least I believe that's what was said on yesterday's show.

I noticed that Ben and John have gotten really close (not in a gay why) but just when Ben walked in and Jack was tlaking to Locke, locke said in a weird voice "i didnt no what they looked like" about the flowers

Yes, Dzbabykel, I agree completely with your assesment. If someone did that to my girl I would probably be as evil, maybe. Though there were other ways to deal with it if he wanted to protect the ship like while Keany was dying they could have somehow moved the gadget one sensor at a time, oh I don't know. Yet another shortcoming in the show. I also think thought that Ben will end up being one of the good guys.

Seeing Claire say 'Don't bring him back' to Kate was scary, because up until now it seems like the only thing to do is for them to go back, so why should Aaron not go back? Why is it dangerous?
And I love Ben! I wouldn't like to leave my life in his hands, but he's still the best character on television!

Ben is totally devoted/loyal to the island (for whatever reason). Everything he has done, like it or not, love him or not, has been for what he considers the good of the island.
