Is it me or is anyone else predicting a messiah-like reincarnation of Locke next season?
I don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but it seems clear to me the biblical references in the show. With the most obvious ones, Jacob a prophet or possibly and angel-like being, and Desmond quite clearly is a prophet.
Could John Locke be the next incarnation of God? Just a thought, but i have been predicting this since the middle of season 3 with his relationship with the island and the miracle of him walking.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't necessarily compare this to anything involving Christianity, or at least I hope it won't come to that. Nor any other specific religion.

i saw the parrallels with christianity, but i agree, he doesnt have to be the incarnation of a christian god.
i don't really see how a story arc of this type can be based around an existing belief system. I feel it would detract from the uniqueness and originality of the show if it were to be based around an existing set of religious beliefs. This is also my main problem with the popular garden of eden theory.
