Orientation Video 6 of 6

Right before Keamy entered the underground Orchid station locke was watching orientation video 6 of 6. But at a certain point in the video it started to rewind for no apparent reason. Could this have been because of the anomaly ben was about to create in the space/time continuum. Before he could even activate the machine with all of the metal in it, maybe time started to go backwards because he was going to cause this same reaction. Maybe the vcr was broken. But it seemed as if the rewind button was pressed in and no one pressed it. I dont know, I have a feeling the video rewinding had something to do with an altering in space and time though and not just a technical malfunction (unless we are talking about a technical malfunction in space-time). Maybe two minutes from when the video seemingly started to rewind locke pressed the rewind button and he himself was not caught up with actual time, so thats why it appeared to rewind out of nowhere. Im rambling now, any thoughts?

What if the video was the device that detonated the suitcase on the freighter, because remember the static on the freighter's screen? They kind of looked the same. Maybe that was the remote control and so many minutes into the video, Boom! I just don't accept Ben taking any chances with all that C4 if it was real exploding too near his island.I know I'm probably stretching things here.

so you think the video john was watching detonated a bomb on the freighter ben knew nothing about (the bomb that is)? yeah, id say you are stretching it. However the interference on the freighter's depth-finder was due to the remote broadcasting from the bomb to keamy's dead man's trigger.

Either way, im more interested in why the video started rewinding and it seemed as if john could do nothing to stop it. I think this was due to some disturbance in the space-time continuum effecting the environment around him.

it started to rewind when it was talking about metal in the vault being a big no no. maybe when taping the video metal went in which caused it to act up. maybe the annomaly caused the tape some mess up I don't know
