Libby's last name

I have been watching all of the season over again and just noticed that the boat that Desmond arrived to the island on was owned by Libby. She met Desmond at the airport and gave him the boat to race in that belonged to her husband who had just passed away. She said his name was David and that he named the boat after her(Elizabeth/Libby).

I can't believe I missed this the first time I watched it.

I don't think that the writers ever gave her a last name. If you go to IMDB.com and check out the character list she doesn't have one. Or maybe IMDB just hasn't posted her last name because it hasn't been reveled yet. I don't know, those are just my thoughts.

Maybe there's some big twist and she'll turn out to be Penny's long lost sister or something.

Yes - and Hurley's imaginary friend who appeared to him on the island was named 'Dave.' I think he may be Libby's husband. We saw a scene of Libby at the mental institution and I think Dave (Hurley's friend) was there as well.

Hurley's Dave was in his imagination. Libby's Dave is still unknown. It's not uncommon that TPTB use the same name for different characters.

I think TPTB released Libby's last name in a Pod Cast or at the Comic Con. I have seen it stated that her last name is Smith....but I didn't hear the Pod Cast or Comic Con comments so it could be made up.
