From what I got, they are the only 6 people rescued off of the Island. We know of Jack, Kate, and Hurley, and we're going to find out another one next episode.

I believe that there are more than six. The O6 are only those who have been disclosed to the public and who have made a bargain to be silent or those who remained on the island will be killed or worse. I bet Kate is not an O6 given her problems with the law. They bought her silence by giving her a false ID. Ergo, Jack and her have to meet more secretively.

I bet a few other non-oceanic pasengers came back under the radar, namely Juliette and Desmond. And Ben was kicked off the island, his cancer recurred and he was in the coffin in Compton.

the lonely dead person, i think is Michael, which would not make him one of the 6, I don't think...but we will see. the dead person hung himself and is survived by only a teenage son and is from New York and died in LA.

I think the O6 is the name the media gave to the 6 persons that oceanic air or one of the groups released publicly, but Ithinklthere were others like Kate and maybe Sawyer who were not released to the public and made other deals.

awwww thanks robo....but seriously..the obit read..man found dead in downtown la and mentioned that "John Lantham" was found dead (hanging by suicide) in his loft....we have talked about that in here a little .....would explain why kate didn't want to go and why no one was there...jack was probably crying more from what ben said about his last chance to pick not being rescued...he realized that ben was right and they will die one by one?????

The survivors letting Ben go is another slim chance - but can't be ruled out. However Ben has more influence with the outside world that anyone else - which means if he goes off the island, am sure he will more than survive. For sure he would not be considered Oceanic 6 - as he did not even travel in the flight.

Sayeed probably is the other one.

I agree Ben could get off the island and may have done so at times, but I also think Ben holds the key and is not evil. I think if his work was done (whatever that is) only then he would get off the island voluntarily. Who knows, maybe he gets dragged off the island kicking and screaming, knowing he is the only one that can make things right (whatever that is).

I believe that the person in the coffin was Ben. Reason being that when Jack walked in the attendant asked him if he was friend or family... He said neither. I believe it to be Ben because all of the time they all spent on the island you would think that all the survivors would have become friends/family to each other, except for the others... Just a thought... As for the survived by teenage son I dont know about that part... never got to read the obit.

I can agree with celica as apossibility that ben may be in the coffin. Also it has occurred to me that "O6" all seem to be from Team Jack and if you watch the preview you understand why Hurley is too. So does that mean Ben and Locke "convinced" the other losties to stay or is there something ominous in the works for team Locke? This also would mean Sawyer was not the guy worrying about her.

Locke would not have wanted to get off the island. He wants to stay. But, if for some reason, he did leave, he could be in the coffin. The gun shot from Ben, tho not fatal on the island, could be upon return to the "real" world.

I'm wondering how exactly it's decided about who stays and who goes. If Locke did go it'd definitely be by force and I don't see how exactly that would happen. And Ben saying everyone's going to die if these people come - they don't seem like they're gonna turn around and start killing everyone. They only want Ben. And will Desmond's vision come true of Claire getting on the helicopter? I'd say the only reason he went with Jack was in the pure hope of seeing Penny again

You forgot already?? Haha it was in the episode 2 weeks ago during Hurley's flashforward when he yells "I'm one of the Oceanic 6!!" when cops are busting him to the wall. Even if he hadn't of said that, we know he's one of them so far because we've seen him, Jack and Kate in the future.

Besides the three we know of getting off the island, if they want to get back as badly as Jack does in the flash forwards my assumption would be that Locke is the only one smart enough and faithful enough to find it.

Sun, because of my hope for the baby.

Sayid - only other character on the show that his love interest has been ignored, but he is military trained and most likely can get off the island. After all, he is an interrogator, he can manipulate situations same as Ben, but classier.
