Everyone, I need your help on a matter that could be life or death for a man who is misunderstood by almost everyone (except me) and is about to get killed by someone or another! So please, please, PLEASE...
Give Ben a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know you probably think of him as creepy or evil or cold-blooded or heartless or manipulative...Never mind. My point is: Ben isn't such a bad guy! Yeah, he may seem insensitive, but that's not entirely his fault! In fact, that's nowhere close to his fault! He never had a role model or parent figure of any sort to look up to, no one to teach him to love or care for others, no one to even make him feel like he mattered (except Jacob, maybe...but he doesn't really count - see my Jacob theory if you haven't already). He had to teach himself everything, in order to survive. All he needs is to be given some compassion...and maybe a little therapy. It's not fair to him that everyone wants him dead. He deserves to be given a happy ending of some sort, along with all the others (not to be confused with The Others). I know he's not real, but that doesn't mean it's right to torture him for our sick amusement! So please, I ask, if you can find it in your heart...just a quick reply voting for Ben's right to live is all I ask. Just a simple plea from a lone fan...and I thank you, for listenting and supporting, in advance.

I agree that Ben may not be as bad as we think he is....but I'm still skeptical haha :p So far he seems better than some new people we're being introduced to!

Yea Ben doesn't really come out as being a nice guy when you first meet him, but i do think he is going to become really important, plus he knows alot of information about the island and its powers.

I agree Wondergirl. Idon't think Ben is truly evil and there is alot of questions that only he has the answer to that can explain some of his decisions. No, I do not want him dead and it would be a mistake if you were a lostie. Having said that, If i was a lostie I must admit I would have popped him one too, and maybe a good kick to the groin as well. LOL

i like ben he is one of my faves :D think the reason he is so intriguing is that he is not just plain ol' bad or super good - he has many levels! i mean, he has keepsakes that mean something to him, he doesnt want his 'daughter' alex to die, or the rest of the others who are with him. but his methods of survival are a tad extreme from time to time!!!

HAHAHA! Ben is a FANTASTIC character, one of my top three! Michael Emerson is just so amazing.
The great thing about Ben is that for a while there in season three you started thinking he wasn't that bad, and then he goes and shoots Locke!
That's what I love about this show, nobody is pure, everyone has some good and bad in them, it just makes the show so much better for it!

Wondergirl, I think Ben has too much info to kill him off right now. I don't like his character and prob did alot of the bad crap because it was in the name of some higher purpose, but I don't thinks he's necess. evil. However, I think in the end someone is going to knock him off.

First off, Ben's my 2nd fav. character on this show, right behind Locke.
and second off, Ben is gonna make it to the end of this show, unless he is killed, by the smoke, which I think is the only way he is going to die if he is.
third off, ben is a good guy, I can sense it. I don't know why, he will end up saving someone and they will all like him again. Him and locke will make a good team.

I think someone said it best to describe Ben. He's surviving. He doese what he doese in order to better the people who first took him in as their own in the Hostiles. He killed off Dharma. Which wasn't exactly great for his chr. But he had a reason for doing that. In a war it's never a good thing. Either side has their view of why they should be here. Ben just chose a side and did what any group of peopel would have done "end the war". If their was ever going to be peace on the island. someone had to go. Now about Ben being a wanted man. Yeah it seems he did a crime that the Gov. is realy ticked about. But almost every world power doese something against another Gov. to better it's own people. Ben most likely was doing the same. To better his people and he cut all connections to the outside world commucating or finding the island off to protect his people. He knew that they where coming for him and they wouldn't understand it was Ben's fault but rather see everyone on that island as at fault.

def agree, Ben being not-so-on-the-good-side of sensitive issues with others, and yes, he is without a doubt a key player on this mad mad island.
