ive been pining over the O6

I have been thinking about something. How Matt Abby asked Hurley if "they" were still alive, and the fact that he told Naomi to basically "stay alive and get out". I was also thinking about the season 4 theme of defend the island or die. The other theme was some leave and some go, but we only know that some leave so far because of flash forwards. Im wondering if the O6 even leave the island this season, but rather help defend it from the freighter crew (hence Jack's suspicion of them already). I don't think our 4 new characters have a hand in getting the 6 off the island. any thoughts on this? Im thinking not season 4 but later

I can't help recall Desmonds vision of claire and Aaron getting on the same chopper. he was right on with Charlie, but just because they get on the Huey doesn't mean they get back to the real world. In apreview the Huey pilot says he can only take three. If this turns out to be true then some get off via diff route. I'm also not convinced that only 6 get off the island. I think Kate is not part of the media's "oceanic6". They only specifically refer to Jack and Hurley as part of the O6.
