Miles must have one wicked headache. The island is full of dead people hope he knows how to block it out.

He will have one up on Locke with gathering information from who he connects with. he may even get those diamonds if he's lucky

He'd probably have the same problem anywhere, because everywhere (with the possible exception of Antarctica) the dead outnumber the living.

From what we've seen so far, it appears Miles only has to deal with the "restless dead" - the recently deceased and those who have some unfinished business to attend to. Those who haven't "moved on", for whatever reason.
