i am sure he is telling the truth regarding seth marrying etc but the fact that the body does not have a wedding band on would not be enough to say its absolutely NOT him.

I went back and watched the first episode online yesterday, and the pilot did have on a wedding ring.

The guys who played the pilot is the guy who now plays Matt Parkman on Heroes.

There was definatly a wedding ring. I replayed it a few times to be sure. It's there.

I didn't see a ring either, and I think they were trying to show us the jet was a plant when he dropped the model in the fish tank. I think that was Frank's Eureka moment, similar to the way the other newbies had.

You have to go back to the very first episode of season one. I know the underwater pilot didn't have it on. But when Jack, Kate, and Charlie go and look for the cockpit in that episode, he wakes up and you see it on his hand, then they hear that crazy noise, and then he gets killed.

I'm sorry darlingangel, but I'm stickin' with Bunny. The point is the true pilot and Frank's friend had a ring before being eaten, and the underwater guy didn't. Plus I think the airline could easily prove his identity as employee and pilot of oceanic who should have flown815 that day. When he dropped the model in the tank and saw the vid, it looked like a true eureka moment.

I think Frank is going to turn out to be the good guy out of the group as a first impresssion. I may think Faraday too, but the only thing is he was crying, for some reason, so he might be really pissed about somthing.

i like frank - i think jeff fahey is gonna do a really good job with the character. its a big assumption from such little screen time but he was really good.

I don't know why Frank would lie about the ring. Because he looked genuinely concerned looking at the tv and sounded genuine. I think he might act differently if he was more sinister. I'm confused about these people, they seem like decent people from their flashbacks, I expected something terrible when they landed, immediately!

yeah the previews made it appear that way but they are always trying to lead us of the scent.

charlotte and miles seem a bit dodgy though. she is snidey and he is a tad aggressive.
