what is the virus & vaccine

Does anyone know... what is the virus that drove all of Rousseau's team crazy, and made her kill them so they wouldn't suffer? Does the vaccine protect against this virus, or were they giving Claire shots for her pregnancy?

Can't figure that one out...

That's always been a q of mine. I was always under the impression that they were trying to do whatever to save the child, in their eyes, even if at the expense of Claire. I think it was some experimental vaccine to honestly help. It is just that unknown to the others Aaron is special and didn't need any help. What do you think?

not sure of the timeline but i wondered if it was to do with the gas they used in the purge remaining in the environment.

I've always been wondering that too - I can't wait to see an episode about Rousseau to see what happened there!
I'm wondering why the others have left Claire with her baby, and what happened the other kids. Why did THEY need to raise them?

Remember when they had Claire and Alex told her that they were just going to cut Aaron out of her and let her die?

That was weird.

Also the mobile was playing the song Claire wanted those would-be adoptive parents to sing.

It's great to come her and and read about so many details that I've missed. Excellent point. I've asumed aaron is to be special. This really makes what happens to Sun's baby even more important and she prob one month along. I forget, but when juliet examined her was everything normal or did it look like she was hiding something from Sun?

well unless i missed something that happened afterward, juliet determined that the baby was conceived on the island which was bittersweet for sun (it meant it was jin's, but it also meant that she would inevitably die)
