Yesterday when I watched the first episode I noticed the the flight attendant that talks to Jack just before the crash looks VERY familiar. I think she may have been part of Ben's people. But then again I could be wrong.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, she looks familiar because she was in the tail section of the plane. She is one of the ones who captured mike, saywer, and jun. Her name is Cindy. She was on her way back with the tail sec. survivors, when she got "taken" by the others. I find it hard to believe she isn't working with Ben in some way, but u never know. She sorta went w/o a fight, but someone has to look after the kids I guess.

cant remember what she says exactly but she sees jack when he is in one of the cages whilst being held captive and she mentions about being given a better life.

The actress playing the flight attendant (Kimberley Joseph) was in a tv-show I watched in the early 90's called Paradise Beach so she was easy to find at imdb.com. According to imdb she has been in 10 episodes of Lost.

"Lost" (10 episodes)

1. Pilot: Part 1 (22 September 2004) - Cindy Chandler
2. Pilot: Part 2 (29 September 2004) - Cindy Chandler
3. Tabula Rasa (6 October 2004) - Cindy Chandler (voice) (uncredited)
4. Orientation (5 October 2005) - Cindy Chandler (uncredited)
5. Everybody Hates Hugo (12 October 2005) - Cindy Chandler
6. ...And Found (19 October 2005) - Cindy Chandler
7. Abandoned (9 November 2005) - Cindy Chandler
8. The Other 48 Days (16 November 2005) - Cindy Chandler
9. Stranger in a Strange Land (21 February 2007) - Cindy Chandler
10. The Brig (2 May 2007) - Cindy Chandler

On the trivia side of things:
Kimberley appeared in the very first scene of Lost (2004) to be produced, It was the scene in which her character Cindy, the flight attendant, confronted Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) seconds before the plane crashed. In fact Kimberley spoke the very first lines of the show's production. (imdb.com)

so, to clear things up, the kids and adults that were taken by the others, we know they are with the others camp. So, were they taken becuase they were "good people", or becuase they needed them for one reason or another?

Maybe they didn'thave to abduct them. maybe they approched them as Richard approched Ben at his small age. A kind soule who may know a better way in life. So they whent willfuly it seems. That mightthe effect of Room 23.
