Jacob is the Island in one way or another! And why the O6 will go back!

Jacob is the island. we know this from the scene on the frieghter where christian appears to micheal and says, "you can go now". Now think about it. Micheal was told he would not be able to die until he did what the island wanted him to do. Christian was speaking on behave of Jacob. I think Jacob or the Island decided Micheal had done what he was supposed to do and was ready to go. the thing i dnt get though is Micheal was supposed to kill the bad people and the frieghter, which he did not and he was supposed to save the losties (but Jin Died) so he didn't complete that either. So i dnt know what is going on with Jacob.

I think for sure Jack is going to get back to the island becuz he tried to kill himself on the bridge but was stopped much like micheal could not kill himself. Im not sure about the others but i would bet Jack will get back no matter wut.

i like this thought it is making me think that this all could be a plan concocted by ben because he did tell michael that he was there to kill the bad people or something to that effect and if he did that then it would make sense that he could go now whatever that meant ill get back to you after i think this thought through a little more though ...... GREAT THINKING I LIKE IT A NEW THOUGHT

Ben never told Michael he had to kill the people on the freighter. He told Michael to compile a list of names, to destroy the radio room, and to sabotage the engines so the freighter would be unable to reach the Island.

Ben gave Michael a fake bomb, because it was Ben's way of showing Michael the difference between himself and Charles Widmore.

I like your thoughts LLost. I have been wondering about Jin. Ben did plant the fake bomb. And I believe he said to Michael that their are too many innocent people on the boat and that he wasn't like Widmore. There seems to be two different groups that were on the freighter. the scientific folks ho may have had one motive and the militant/mercenary folks. Some from each group being truly innocent in intentions, others not so much. Even though Jin wasn't on the freighter when Ben said this, maybe his past actions as a brutal enforcer for Sun's dad meant he wasn't innocent.
