:(:(
One of my favorite comedians of all time.
He may not have believed in heaven or hell, but I'm sure he's in a better place now, keeping everyone there in stitches. And he's still not afraid of using "those seven words".
LOST my train of thought

Can't believe the Hippy-Dippy Weatherman is no longer with us. The flower children are all getting old and dieing off. George made the transition from short haired suit and tie wearing conventional comedian to long haired hippie freak about the same that I went from uptight high school jock to long haired dope smoking hippie. We used to sit and listen to his Richard Pryor's records and laugh our asses off. I'll miss him.

Aww. What a shame. I've been away and didn't even know til now! I always loved his humor! The best! His intelligent wit, his skits, expressions, tongue in cheek sense of humor, his play on words... he will be truly missed.
"What is Jumbo Shrimp? Big shrimp or little jumbo's???"

"Militairy inteligence? There's a contradiction in terms."
In honor of Carlin, I used a few of the Seven Dirty Words in the most recent chapter of my story. :p
And here's a suitably dirty Carlin quote: "Fighting for peace is sort of like ****ing for virginity."

You're right in my era Boutte! Oh how I remember those *daze*. One of my fave Carlin bits was, of course, the 7 words, and how he explained them. Like kill, you can say, f*#k, you can't. Used in a sentence-- "I'm gonna kill you and I'm gonna kill you slow." Now- word you can't say, in the same sentance--"I'm gonna f*#k you and I'm gonna f*#k ya slow. I'm sorry, but the latter sounds just a bit more enjoyable!" LMAO :D Kapassa!!
