from the scene last week with Naomi and Abaddon, my mom thinks that he implies to her to kill any remaining survivors of 815 to cover up the fact that they found another plane. Naomi says what if they find survivors from 815, he says there were none, she says yes she knows but what it, and he again insists 'there were no survivors'

from the exchange and tone i can't fully believe that. a questions i posed to my mom is if that is what they are going there to do, they would have no reason to screw around, they would just shoot any survivors.

i don't know, just wanted to put that out there

I thought the same thing. I thought it was just Naomi though who knew the real mission. Something was said about the rest of the crew at the time to imply they didn't really know what it was all about. Can't remember will have to watch it again.

plus they brought gas masks and other materials of that nature with them for some reason.....but i really dont believe they are on that island to kill the survivors...it kinda would make sense but i think they wouldve brought more fire power to get the job done.

Yes that was one of my 1st impressions. but then i thought maybe he implies NOt to let them leave and make contact with the outside world. in other words the outside world notknowing of the REAL Ocianic 815, therfore Ephisizing " there Where NO Survivors of ocianic Flight 815 "

Burrito, I had similar thoughts, and when he staes "there are no survivors" , it could mean if you kill them great and you don't we already have a back up plan- like the cover story that none of the "O6" are to talk about once they get back, the big lie.

well right, therefore if this Abaddon guy is in on it, he knows that there either are or could be survivors at the island he is sending naomi. but he won't even come close to saying that. so taking all that into consideration and drawing on his undertones, it is possible that he was telling naomi 'there are no survivors (but if there are, get rid of them)' or something.

I can go with that burrito. They send naomi and the other yahoos to eliminate any survivors but they failed (which is why Locke knifed her, because he knew) Then when the "O6" show up they are threatened to keep everything secret and that it was a miracle they survived or were rescued. I think we're onto something.

you mean like crazy? because he definitely looked like he was on acid or something when he said it. i just found this on wikipedia though about michael faraday: "He established that magnetism could affect rays of light and that there was an underlying relationship between the two phenomena."

well there has been mutterings that he is related in some way to daniel. and yeah he was spaced out for MOST of that episode.

I don't see dan as a killer though. I think Frank wants to help, and I hope someone knocks off Miles before he shoots someone, as he loves to wave his gun around.

didn't you think that info from wiki was great? i mean that ties in daniels last name - faraday - with the fact that he is a 'phycisist', and also with the magnetism of the island AND the rays of light!

So a Brachiosaurus or something is found with a collar on in the desert.... Obviously, some part of some government is reproducing the Philidelphia experement in the ocean and the plane was caught up in it and transported back in time.... They know they have to cover their tracks and use a replica plane and get dead bodies to look like the plane had crashed in the ocean and all were killed.... Easy !!!

That explains the recruiter not aging, he jumps around in time and therefor doesnt age the same way as someone who is not time traveling !

If Naomi didn't know there were survivors,that would make sense. I think Charlotte did know because she wore that vest. Otherwise why the vest?
If Ab doesn't want leftovers then maybe they have to gather info before they kill everybody. I think some of the rescuers are more clued in than the others in the group. There's always someone getting killed who was in on the plan but needs to be eliminated after mission accomplished.

Oh I definitely think they knew the plane was a fake and that there could be survivors. For one, Charlotte wore the vest (but then again she knew Ben would be there so maybe she WAS genuinely shocked to see the survivors of the plane crash) but that doesn't explain when Sayid tells Miles he doesn't seem the slightest bit surprised to see that they're all alive. Miles then answers him with "Ooooo you're the survivors of 815?!! That better?" so I think he knew they'd be there, but obviously rescuing them wasn't there objective at all. We also know that Frank knew it was a fake as he could tell that was a different pilot underwater...and well Dan just freaked out so we're not sure whats up with him lol.

Personally (and just rambling right now) I think that the fab 4 aren't there to harm the Losties by any means and in fact it probably put a little kink in their mission when they found out there were so many survivors (remember Dan was shocked to hear that there were more on the beach)....we know they are there to get Ben and it will probably come down to the Losties choosing to believe who is bad and who is good. The previews have stated a war is coming so I wonder if the Losties will end up siding with Ben or the Freighter people?? Any thoughts?

I agree Dz. I don't think the fab four were told alot. I think the gas masks and protection were to protect them from Ben and the others. I think Naomi was told alot more and may have been there to eliminate the losties. I think abbadon knew about the losties and don't think they would have gone to the trouble of a fake plane and then be embarrased if some of the losties were rescued. I Also think Locke knew that only Naomi was the real threat, and hence why he didn't hesitate to kill her. I don't think Locke looks at the fab four as a real threat, but as some nerdy scientists.

perhaps there will be a split as we can see already and some will go with the fab 4 and the rest will side with the others. i think that is what is most likely to happen.

I agree, thats why he was so upset when he thought Charlotte was shot. He DOES want to keep them as potential hostages in case some of the real people behind this mission come about, but I don't think the fab 4 are a super threat to them.....they may become one though if the Losties decide to go on Ben's side.
