So, I am a geek. I know it. I admit it. I was researching stuff online and decided to google Quantum Plasma. Check out what I found! I cannot tell if this is real or a plant or something for the show.

I went to the website for the school and it's no less strange! One thing I did notice. The school crest looks like the crest that was on the polo shirt that Desmond was wearing the night he met Jack when they were running the steps in the stadium. I have tried to zoom in on it but cannot get a clear picture.
