so locke is undoubtedly my favorite, ever since the first episode he reminded me of my grandfather and i love his intuition, faith, and so many other things.

however, since i obviously have plummeted to the lowest point in my life, i watched the first disc of the first season last night. it ends with the episode 'walkabout' and it is the first time that they did that 360 degree shot around locke as he is sitting on the beach at the very end of the show. i just started thinking again about why there are always subtleties that hint towards him being 'bad'

perhaps they just want us to question him, and also maybe that isn't portraying him as evil, but maybe towards how special he is/his connection with the island.

thoughts?

i agree - he is my favourite character and always has been from the start -mostly as he was quite intriguing ad i never knew what was what with him and they defo kinda portrayed him at first as being a bit sinister (another reason i liked him so much - always drawn to the bad guys!) but i am not sure if this was a red herring as such until the end of the walkabout episode.

I don't think Locke is bad and I know what you're saying. I think soetimes he seems suspicious because he knows noone will understand the crazy island like he does. I think that's why he is so shocked that Hurley maybe someone else who is beginning to understand.

I love Locke, and I don't think he could possibly be bad! I think they just have him make a lot of mistakes, and have Jack make a lot of mistakes too so you never know who to trust.
Hurley now seeing Jacob did blow him away, but it makes me think if anyone else may see him in the future?

i think locke has a good heart and follows it.....he has just followed it in the wrong direction a few too many times unfortunately...as for his acting..some of the best...i remember the cutting edge...and my daughter has now watched it who knows how many times on tv...he's been in a lot
