with your storm? We're so fixed on Gustav here we're not getting much news about the storm in the Atlantic. Are you guys in the danger zone?

No one knows for sure where Hannah is going. Still a slow moving tropical storm. Could make its way into the Gulf or could take a turn north and just miss the east coast of Florida. Right now its headed west *groan* Not concerned at this point. I'm worried about Gustav and you and Ginger.Catagory 4 and almost the exact same date as Katrina 3 years ago. Katrina made landfall in your area August 29, 2005.

I'm just fine, Lindy. We're getting some rain and wind from the dreaded Gustav, but thats about all. Not sure about Hannah yet. We're okay. Boutte and Ginger headed out of Orleans today. Thanks for asking.

Have you ever been to Chicago, Star? If you came for a visit, we could have a really cool weekend or however long you were in IL doing all the wonderful things Chicago offers! Wouldn't that be fun??

Hey Boutte!!! Hope you faired alright through Gustov. Thank goodness it wasn't as powerful as they had thought it would be. Florida is not quite in the cross hairs for Hannah but we're also not out of them. It's supposed to skirt the coastline from the east side of the Bahamas. If it crosses more west through the middle of the Bahamas or even to the west side of it then all bets are off. South central FL could get something. Forget about Hannah though. I think I am more worried about Ike!!! It is going to be a huge storm. I just have the feeling in my bones. It is on a straight path towards the lower Bahamas where Hannah is supposed to begin her turn north. The exact same spot!!! I think Florida may be in for it. I think that it could hit south Florida like Miami or even skate through the Keys. If it does the latter then it could possibly wind up in the gulf and you need to keep an eye on it because that is certainly something you do not need!!!! For now, I am making basic preparations because it could just all happen really fast. So, we are alright though....for now. Wishing you and Ginger all the best. If either of you needs anything please don't hesitate to ask! Ask and it will be done!

Yep, Pompano Beach. I'm not far from there. Make sure she watches the weather real close!!!
