If you look close it says " If you are one or know one" then it says
" Happy Mothers Day" It's Very Fant and spelled backwards. It's on an ad for Hanso..... lol Seeing how noone on the island can have babies I just thought it was odd. It's funny how ABC plants all this stuff it's the reason I can't stop thinking. lol

There's more stuff at the top, on the reverse side of this page, I can't quite read it, I figured (on right side) its says " out of the .... " can't read the rest.

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a newspaper ad. The backwords words would be on the other side of the newspaper.
THere are words all over the place. If you have photoshop you can probably make it legible.

Namaste - A conventional Hindu expression on meeting or parting, used by the speaker usually while holding the palms together vertically in front of the bosom.
Meeting or parting huh? The island reminds me of the train station in Matrix Revolutions Where Neo gets stuck for a while. Neither here nor there, but somewhere in-between.

Thanks meditate, this is an awesome thread. you guys are rockin'. Meeting or parting. Now maybe cloning. Hear me out. What if Dharma, was finding people with messed up lives and trying to clone them to see if their clone would follow the same path in life. a prime example would be Kate. her life was messed due to circumstances out of her control and then she made repeated bad decisons due to this. What if the initiative was to clone, place back in time and see if Kate would do anything different. Change her destiny. A bad or good twin. Since a clone is a genetic twin.

So yeah I was looking around wickipedia about Hinduism and found this in the initiation section you should read the rest if interested:
It is a social form of co-option of life style. It is said in Sanskrit that, "dharmo hi hato hanti, dharmo rakshati rak****ah", which translates to "Dharma, when destroyed, destroys; dharma protects when [it is]protected", meaning the path of righteousness will protect one as long as one upholds and follows it.
Didn't think I would see anything related to Dharma! This made me think of Ben protecting the island so he himself would be protected. I probably am way off on a tangent, but I just wanted to know more about the namaste thing.

wow - another intriguing clue!
the writing backwards is bizarre - especially happy mothers day.
i am not sure on the cloning thing as would jacks clone have been on the island as he wants to go back but there is definitely something to do with the 2 sides of people - the dark side and light side. but then the cloning thing also makes sense in some respects - perhaps thats why they have a picture of ben and he looks a little different.

Good mornin' Bunny, just thought I would pop in before work. There is a thread in the theories section that I just visited and posted. Of all the theories, this is the one Im going with unless there is a major change to the show.

Namaste, in TIbetan, means (roughly)... 'I salute the God within you'.
I got told thiis last Saturday by someone who had been up to Everest Base Camp.

This sounds right I mean Ben is strange he wants to keep the island a scert. He knows if people know where he is they will find the island. I think it's good thinking

Cloning is an excellent theory, indeed. It might explain why the pilot who was pictured to have died while "Flight 815" was being filmed underwater was not wearing a wedding ring. It would also play into the "Life Extension Project" title by means of an Experiment. Possibly, these clones were conceived at birth and given identities which carried them through their lives, some making different decisions than others.
That being considered, there's also the further possibility that each of those clones were found to have defects (Regardless of age) of some sort and thus were viewed to have completed "The Experiment" and needed to be disposed of in some fashion. If each of these people, who found themselves stranded on The Island, had led lives that were continuously being observed for study, the moment that "The Experiment" ended would be the moment that each of these people would need to be disposed of, as well.
If all this is true, then the question remains, who were the clones and who were the originals?

Could they all be clones? It seems that there is some uniting thread holding all these people together whether they're alive or dead.

Ok. get this. lostpedia says that the book bad twin was actually published in real life to tie in with Lost. AMAZING what these writers are doing for this show.

This is getting out of hand. Just trying to cash in I guess. I'll have to look into that. I remember seeing Hurley reading it and said HMMM!! But you never know which minute detail to go with or not. I guess we all love been driven crazy. now I wonder if all the books Sawyer was reading are clues now?

You now whats interesting, I've posted this many times before but just to reiterate, in the Bible Jacob had a twin brother Esau....Esau was known as the "bad twin" while Jacob was viewed as the "good twin" whom God loved the most. Just thought it was an interesting parallel ;)

Has anyone deciphered the letter at TheHansoFoundation.org? It is a Life extesion project. Lots of issues raised in Hano's letter. There is also strange script at the bottom. Has anyone interpreted this?

Dz, very intersting. there are many biblical refs in lost, as well as many others. This is why I'm Still hanging on to the nexus to the afterlife, that Dharma has breached. Ever since Jacob said "Help me" I can't let go.

I know its hard not to go that route when there are soo many religious references!

I read the Bad Twin about 2 years ago and it was not the greatest book ever written but it wasn't meant to be so... It basically talks about Hanso a little and is a story about twins obviously whose father owns a big company and the good son helps run the country while the bad son is sort of a beach bum. But then it makes you question which son is really the good one and which is the bad one. There are all sorts of easter eggs in there. I recommend reading it only because of the Lost aspect.

It doesn't directly reference Lost but it sort of draws some parallel lines between the book and the show. In a twisted, interpretive kind of way. I think Hanso is the only real common denominator. I would have to go back and re-read it.

Don't get me wrong the book was written to add to the mystery of the show and as I said there are some easter eggs in there and subtle clues about the show. But it doesn't mention 815 if I recall correctly.
