that is not mine but i was having a discussion and thought you all might be interested in hearing it...

now when john locke sees the crazy art on the door in lockdown, apparently its says on it somewhere rehabitulaisation or re-environmentalisation or territorial habitualisation (he cant remember for sure and i havent seen a good enough shot of this to confirm if thats true!) or somehting along those lines anyway.

now we have the polar bear on the island and now on the desert aswell as various other experiments on animals and we have the theory that the numbers are linked to the valenzetti equation aswell so perhaps dharma were aware of somethng to do with the end of the world or an incident that would cause extreme changes to the world as we know it and were doing various experiments not to stop that occuring but to see if they could find someway of making it possible for human beings to exist in an enviroment that they are not naturally intended to do - to make them adaptable. this would also work the cloning thing in aswell - they maye well have cloned these adapted/mutated animals (or humans - they could well have moved forward to such).

i think this might also work in the natives to the island - perhaps they dont agree with nature being meddled with hence the purge etc...

i am sure this has been discussed before many time but i havent seen a thread regarding it myself so thought i would throw it out there as it made sense to me.

I have read a few similar theories, and can't agree more. This is what I'm going with until they change it on us. However I do think Richie and the gang are working Jacob. Are they angels of death? or Mercy? I thought so, until Charlie whacked Ethan. But maybe that's why Ethan was there. To fulfill Charlies destiny, his redemption, and voyage to the afterlife.

love the concept bunny, hope the general audience can comprehend as well. as far a "world ending" scenerio (or any catastrophic event), i feel the writers had something more on the self-preservation/survival therory. just my opinion, as i'm still stuck on that "4 toed" foot (briefly viewed), as if it were the remains of some sort of statue from centuries past. lol, thats my biggest speed-bump, as it were.

the bit i was referring to is at the bottom corner and ursus maritimus is polar bear.

Speaking of the four toed statue, and having studied biology (not evolutionary bio so much), It reminded me of a journal article that predicted humans will eventually evolve towards an absence of an appendix, decreased body hair, and loss of our 5th metatarsal or pinky toe (since it has no bearing on balance). What if the statue represents a more evolved human civilization that were sent back in time from the island. Nuts I know , but just a thought.

well that would make perfect sense alongside this theory.

but if the natives built the statue and dharma are working towards a similar thing - why would the clash? unless its because they know that dharma's research will somehow stop this natural evolution?
