ok the lions lost once again but at least it wasn't extremely terrible dan orvloski took the QB spot and the defense looked kinda decent. but a loss is a loss and the lions lost to the vikings

yeah orvloski stepped out in the end zone to give them a safety but in his defense it was his first starting game in the nfl. I still think they should start drew stanton. yes he is a michigan state alumni and I'm a u of m fan but he's pretty good and hell he couldn't be worse then kitna. also roy williams needs to go. he stepped up a little this week but not enough. get something for him and show the other peopple on the team that no one is safe if the team continues to suck

I feel we need all the picks we can get. detroid needs an overhaul before it gets better. with millen gone maybe it can start getting better. I had hopes sunday but I think I have to wit till week 1 till we start getting better

The good news is that with free agency and the dilution of the talent pool. (in other words nobody is really all that good) a franchise can it turn it around very quickly. Look at Atlanta, Greenbay, N.O. (Saints still suck on a regular basis though). Even the Giants.

Hey SJ, is L'Charles Bentley still on the Browns? He was a great lineman before the injury and infection. Pretty sad story if his carreer is over.

he's good, one of the top QB's. He's smart. He doesn't make many mistakes and has the arm to make all the throws. I'd want him on my team.

If there is a bright side, at least I have Brees on my fantasy team.

I think what we saw was two not so good teams in a very exciting game. Niether team has anything resembling a defense. I hate to say it because even though I'm a die Saints fan I really like S.D. You had to know that Brees was going to light it up on the team that didn't want him any more.

Monday night games bring out the best or the worst in them. i went to the last Monday night game against Minn. and it was one of the worst played NFL games this year. (By both teams.)

What do you guys think about Drew Brees' chances at the MVP this year?

i'm not qualified to comment but did i read somewhere that he is nearing some kind of record this season?

Most passing yards in a season, held by Dan Marino. Last year he set the record for most completions in a season. We're so lucky to have this guy.Without him we'd be lucky to win 6 games.

The defense seems to have actually improved with the backups playing.

Brees is incredible. Besides being one of the most accurate passers I've ever seen he's one of the fastest thinking QBs I've seen. Since he's been here he has been sacked less any other QB in the league which is a tribute to the Offensive line but it's also because he evades the rush so well. It's like he has eyes in the back of head.

He's like the second comminjg of Joe Montana.
