In the past I believed that Sayid was a HUGE character. I actually wrote that I thought that the end of the Lost series was the scene where Sayid killed the man on the golf course. I guess it still could be...who knows. My point is that I like to think about what's happening. It's a great release.

This up-coming season I'm starting to think that the Losties left on the island have been shot forward through time to a time where plane hasn't crashed yet, but a time when Dharma has been ruined and the "hostiles" are now run by Ben. Thinking of time on a continous loop this may be possible. From the previews it seems to show Juliet finding a "hatch," maybe the same one occupied by Dharma just before Desmond arrived. Maybe the man in the yellow suit that pops up on Daniel is the same guy that killed himself before Desmond got there. Maybe Locke sees that hatch...writes down the "numbers" on the side of the hatch...(remember Hurley saw them before Locke blew it up, that's how they got there) just so he remembers them.

Or even wilder thinking...what is the losties left on the island shot forward (loop) to a time when Dharma and the hostiles were still fighting. That's why the preview shows them being chased through the jungle with arrows firing at them(hostiles) and then shown with machine guns pointed at them (Dharma). Before Ben was older. Maybe the losties even try to make contact with Dharma and hostiles and let them know what happens in the future if Ben does what he does. Maybe the losties tell Richard what happens and this makes Richard want to MAKE SURE he meets Ben and cause the purge. Maybe Locke talking to Richard really gets Richard excited about meeting Locke when he's a small child. Meeting Juliet earlier might be the reason they worked so hard to make sure she gets to the island. The ideas are limitless when you involve time travel.

Maybe Locke dies trying to prevent the purge. Ben knows this that's way he always told John to stay on the island...that way Ben wouldn't have to move it, Locke and some losties wouldn't be forwarded through time, and Locke wouldn't die trying to prevent the purge.

I wish I was more of a science guy and I wish I knew all the little details about Lost like XmasDVD but I know one thing, I love questioning and imagining everything that might happen and then be proven wrong each Wednesda night :-)

The island went back in time (as most here believe).

my idea is that, yes, the island went back in time. The only difference is that because time is a continous loop the island went forward far enough to end up "back in time"
