Nice find! Is it true that they have gone back in time then? Because in Season 3 when they found the Van. It was all rusty and dirty.

Could be. Or they are doing a flash back seen.

I think it might be bran new because of the Island going back in time to the darmha days but good find

I like the idea that it is possible that they are all back in time or possibly the island has reset itself.
That VW looks awful shinny and new being that originally it certainly does not look like that.

The island HAS reset itself. I don't know for sure how far back, either just to the DI or before. It has though, no doubt. Closed Timelike Curve, full circle you know. I think that the last person to cause it to reset before Ben was Charles Widmore. Perhaps it was Ben that tricked him so it had to be done. Anyway, if you look carefully at the promo's for season 5 and the trailers, you'll see many photos of events that seemed to have already occured, but they are happening in the photo with someone else. It seems to be a pattern that the 06 have been replaced by the ones left behind in these photos. I started a thread about it. Check it out.

If the island truly "reset" itself and that van is proof, then you have to say it reset itself to when Dharma existed. That van was used by Dharma before The Purge, so the only reason for it to be a new condition again is if Dharma is still around.
Frankly, I don't think that's the case. I'd venture a guess to say it's from a flashback. After all, I do believe season 5 is going to have information about Ben/Annie and Rousseau's arrival to the island - which could both use that van.

This is a really good idea as well. Though I did read that they were doing something new this year instead of flash backs and flash forwards. Though what that could be anyone could say.

Ort, I've looked at lots of the pictures from the promos and trailers. Many of them seem to be the same events that happened in the past only with those left behind. I am sticking to that one Ort. If the island did reset, you know, gone full circle around that CTC, well then we would experience first hand knowledge of Annie and Daniel Rousseau. It wouldn't be a flashback or a flashforward, it would be the new present. That is what TPTB had said at one point, they weren't doing flashes. It would be different. But don't forget that good old universe course correction. If it must happen and you aren't in the same place you were when it did originally, like now you're stuck on the island, well then, expect it to still happen. Only, it's gonna happen where you are now.

I think there doing it from a third person's view. If im getting my view of perspective right. Like Im not sure if it's only Locke. But it seems all the 06 will go threw this. Where they replace a person in the time line and live out the events. Their actions can alter these events. So they must be carful what they say or do. It's like the what if senario. What if it was Locke who Vencen found first instead of Jack and it was Locke who became what Jack was in the first episode. Something along thoese lines. It looks like Locke wakes up in a simuler matter as Jack did in episode one. the shocking feeling like when you ake up from a deep sleep. Catching your breath.I think the 06 will be place in a place that Ben knows about that can take them into these situations and they have a task to do to fix something.

But at the same time, he could have woken up from falling off that Tree like Boon did.

I'd say the island definately "reseted" itself back in time.
First of all, read this:
Hey All,
As most of you know we have had several filming reports and set photos confirming that we will see the Oceanic 6 back on the island and with many of them in Dharma Jumpsuits. On-Island Losties Sawyer and Jin have also been spotted.
Well more fans have sent in reports to our good friend Ryan out in Hawaii providing us with a few new details.
Here is a little summary of the reports:
1) New Dharma Logo was spotted on the Othersvlle set, the logo with a wrench in the center!
2) Othersville is freshly painted and looks all nice and new.
3) A Dharma "Processing Center" is a part of the set, which includes several props including pictures of new recruits. The latest date spotted was 1976!
4) A yellow lab possibly Vincent was spotted.
5) Regarding the VW filming on the cliff (photos posted yesterday) Hurley was spotted in the driver seat while Sawyer had a Dharma Jumpsuit on, but Jack was in the shirt in tie still. Kate and LOST Producers Damon and Carlton were on set.
6) At another set at Kawela Bay,some large props were spotted including a structure that seems like a 20 ft tall Teepee with out the covering.
7) Plus, as part of their most recent podcast at The Transmission, we get a confirmation that we will see Young Charlotte and learn about her birthplace afterall perhaps via a Charlotte Flashback or because the island has traveled back in time.
Then this:
More about that Dharma shooting we mentioned yesterday that includes the Oceanic Six and Sawyer. An eagle-eyed reader writes to us:
I live on the North Shore, where they shoot Lost. On a hike today near the ocean I saw a scene with Hurley standing around in dark clothes while a blue and white VW bus came buzzing up and stopped by him. An hour later when I was on my way back, I saw that Sawyer (i'm pretty sure) had joined the scene. There were two or three extra blue and white VWs on standby out of scene and the one I saw up close had the Dharma logo on its front.
And now check out these pics. The VW is brand new and Sawyer wears a DHARMA suit.

Those pictures were quite Interesting, I think Jack is still Wearing the Suit from the Promo where he says "Lets go get them!"

If he fell like Boone then I would have though he would fall inside the beach craft. In which in one of the promos I did see the beach craft falling and it looked just like the seen where Boone and the beach craft fell out of the tree.

I also thought it looked like the same plane but looking at it more closely I'm not too sure now. It just seemed different. I'm telling you all, the island reset and our buddies are now there and have jobs with DI! The same events will happen with completely different outcomes. Maybe Jack said that they will all die if they didn't go back because Ben tells him. If the island resets that means the purge will happen again. Guess what, they all die!

Or perhaps the Di's survival is what is needed to balance out future events. we have already seen what happens when the Di loose and die out. Now it time to see what if they survived. Now the Losties have to find a way to debunk the purge and save the DI for the sake of the future without DI. the Losties are LOST. Pluss the Losties have an upper hand advantage they have the master mind behind the Purge. They will almost know every move the Others will take. That is if the unspoken leader of that time hasn't figured out that the Losties will try to alter this event. as in the leader is alive and well in the future as well.

...what about this for a theory about why our Losties are kickin' it in Dharma gear:
What if, as has been said, the Island reset itself back to pre-purge days and since the Losties are now there, they need to pose as Dharma workers in order to infiltrate Dharma on behalf of the "Hostiles" since they're now hanging with Locke, Richard, etc. (since a traumatic event like being transported back in time can bring a group together).
Oh, and what if Ben has been orchestrating all of this so that he can go back in time to save Annie? That would be awesome.

I don't think this is what happens. I think we are forgetting that Hurley was seen in a Dharma outfit - Hurley! He's not on the island. I'm quite positive that they "join" Dharma or have some other plan in mind. It's not like the island moves and then everyone is suddenly a member of Dharma, or Hurley returns and is suddenly a member. Something else is definitely going on and they willingly, or forcibly, pose as Dharma members.

Yes, they are in the pre-purge days on the island since the island has reset. That it what I am saying. I don't know just how they can save Annie because you cannot change the future by changing the past, remember? The universe and course correction.
Ort, maybe the photo with Hurley in a DI suit is because that is the future of the past and the 06 are back. Confused? It could also be that there is a split because they left and they are in two dimensions at one time when the island reset. I watched the History Channel last night and they reran The Universe which happened to be about light speed, Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, Time Travel, etc. They repeatedly say that the physicists today such as Stephen Hawking believe that there are multiple dimensions and you can occupy them all at the same time. May I remind you that TPTB said we will not know where or when they are this season! LOL! :p
If it is just the consciousness that moves in spacetime dimension then they can occupy two different places at once. As Desmond did in his episodes, he was in the helicoter and he was in the past at the same time. His consciousness moved to the past but he was there physically as well. He was still physically on the helicopter at the same time. Multiple dimensions at the same time.
