Is our Sawyer going to wind up being the Romeo to Juliette's Juliet? Or to have Aaron reunited with Claire, that Kate will be left on the island with Sawyer? And those two will be the drafty cavity duo? Does anyone think that if the island has gone back in time, say 50 or 60 years, then the couple in the cave could be them? Just wish I knew more... like why Claire told Kate not to bring Aaron back. Ever?

Maybe the couple in the cave are actually Christian and his daughter Claire? The Adam and Eve idea being said just to throw us off? Egyptians were sometimes buried with their dead children who had died before them. I think it was The Boy King whose 2 little children were mummified and entombed with him. Any thoughts on this?

The man being Christian is a really good idea. After all Christian's casket did happen to land in the caves; if it turned out to be Christian, they could point to that and say it was planned all along.
The bacgammon peices always made me think that it would be Locke; but that seems kind of obvious.

Maybe since there has to be some special lineage,
it's Jack and Kate or Ji Yeon and Aaron...

It could very well be Locke, We know he might have died.

Awhile ago someone had the idea that everything that has been happening on the island, is all Ben's master plan to go back to when Annie is still alive. That everything has been orchestrated by Ben so that he can have Annie again. What if Adam and Eve are Ben and Annie. Locke laid them to rest in the caves and placed the black and white stones with them. That would be pretty interesting.

WOW, I think that is a really interesting idea you have there! I can't wait for season 5 - I wonder will they completely throw us off track again this season!

As much as I'd like to see the show delve into that more, I sort of doubt it.
They're just not giving us enough to indicate they intend to expound much on that. (I know - boo hoo for me!)

However, I do still tend to think it's got a lot to do with this lineage in Jack's family. In one of the deleted scenes on the Season 4 dvd's, they showed Christian at the very beginning on the island telling Vincent to go wake up Jack; he has work to do. And also, in another deleted scene, Christian tells Jack that his dad (Jack's grandfather) told Christian that he was marrying the wrong woman (Jack's mom). hmmm... was he maybe supposed to marry Claire's mum?? What's with that?

oh, and I do have one question that just came to me while I was watching the bonus discs on 4... Isn't that a bit odd that the SMOKE detector went off when Jack saw Christian sitting in the office in the dark???

That was not a deleted scene, infact I reckon that was one of the most important scenes of LOST ever shown. It was infact a "missing peice", one of 13: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/missingpieces/index?pn=index

Also, I have never heard that idea that Ben planned this all from the start, too get Annie back or whatever other motives he has. Although, why would he not of moved the Island back before? why did he need Jacobs approval?

Maybe Ben needs more people in the past to protect Annie from whatever happened to her. We don't know yet what happened to Annie; what if she was killed in a fight between the hostiles and dharma. We know from the sneek peaks that some of the survivors are wearing dharma jumpsuits. What if Ben is using the survivors to have them in place to save Annie, but without disrupting the past and allowing the Hostiles to still defeat Dharma.
And I agree with Lockeing that this won't happen; but it would be interesting. And you never know how far Ben will go.

Unbridled, not to beat a dead horse, but I'd like your opinion on the Ben/Annie thing with this in mind:

Among other examples as to why I cannot dispel the notion that there was a significant story there, are 3 big issues plaguing my head...1) Richard said Ben was too preoccupied with why the pregnant women die and was not devoting enough att'n to "more important" matters, 2) The saltine crackers (saltine crackers????) that were hidden in the box en route to the Orchid Station - the way off the island... and 3) Tom (or someone?) started to make a comment that Ben follows Juliet around like a lovesick puppy because she looks exactly like....and then he never finished his sentance. Sounds like Annie could have been there into adulthood.

Anyway, do you think I'm just reading too much into this?

Yeah, I had always had the feeling that Annie had died during childbirth. That combined with Ben's mom dieing is why is fixated on solving the pregnancy problem.
Now to tie that to the theory of Ben doing all this for Annie.
Maybe after Annie died, Ben hatched his plan to set the island back. So all he wanted to do was solve the pregnancy problem so that when he set the island back Annie can have a baby and be fine.
And as for the crackers... there for when Annie gets her cravings for weird things, like pickles, ice cream, and 15 year old crackers. :)

Hey, thanks for responding to that. I was doubting there was anyone else out there who shared my theory. Not that I expect TPTB to delve into the story, but it'd be nice to know Ben's entire story. I know saltines settle the stomach, and I was thinking maybe because they were in that unusual place, he left them there for her while on her way to be shuttled OFF the island...and that possibly she's still alive but somewhere else? Tunesia? He'd been there before "but it was a long time ago" he said. ...or maybe not... ha!
Anyway, thanks for posting!
