So do we think Jin is still alive?
It looks like he is considering he's listed in 3 of the first 5 episodes of season 5 and credited in the other 2. hope so, one of my faves and don't want him to die. When you pause it when the freighter explodes jin is not on the deck, and if you look to the right (boats left side) it looks kind of like someone is swimming away....

also I see Walt is in ''The life and death of Jeremy Bentham'', I'll be disappointed if he does not go back to the island too thou but i think he won't go back and that it will just show locke visiting him.

I definitely think he's alive - always felt that way too. He would have been a complete idiot to stay on the boat when he knew it was going to blow up, and it wouldn't have been very hard for him to jump into the water and start swimming away.

Jin is definitely alive! Someone floats up on a piece of debris. It's got to be him.
I wonder if Walt and Michael need to go back also? Wait...what happened to Michael???

If michael goes back, i sincerelly hope everyone kicks his ass. i understand everyone thinks that "oh, he was just trying to save his son" but he could have been nicer about it, got more people involved. not killed innocent people. If they kill him, i shant shed a tear.
but with jin, i am almost positive he's alive. as twisted as LOST can be sometimes, i dont think they would tear jin away from his wife just now, when she's pregnant and all.

Well, actually, Un, ALL of the Losties have some major sins against them, so NONE of them should throw stones at Michael. (Killing Ana Lucia and Libby, though, is a hard one to get around...)
What's Jin going to think of Ji Yeon if the island went back in time??? ooh...

Well i think it's pretty safe to think michael is dead, he's not listed in any episodes for season 5 so far,the writers more or less said he was dead and he slagged them off a bit too. but i liked him, think we should have seen more michael/walt story. also what the hell is up with claire?

Michael is definitely dead. I think that was confirmed when Christian appeared to him and said "You can go now" like the island gave him permission to die. I really don't like the Michael character much, but I did think it was stupid that they brought his character back, made him Ben's spy, and then he just ended up dying almost right away. There were 13 episodes last season and he first appeared at the end of episode 7.

For Claire, there is some debate. Some believe she died when her others home was blown up and thats why she was with Christian. But I personally believe something else has happened to her - drugged, possessed, who knows.

I think they needed to bring Micheal back so they could put the character to rest. When we last saw him and was fleeing the island after killing two people and betraying his friends. That left a lot of unanswered questions, mainly did he actually get off the island? By bringing him back for that short period they were able to show what exactly happened to him and Walt when they left. Then they could remove the least liked character from the show once and for all. And they can bring Walt back into the picture now, without Micheal, and I always liked Walt.

Well.. Claires dead... so uh... there!

Yeah, what's up with that?? Claire wakes up and sees her dead father and walks off into the jungle. We next see her in the cabin with Christian. ?!?

The promo has her calling Kate and telling her NOT to bring Aaron back to the island.

I think Kate's gonna be in trouble...

Late, it's possible that wasn't really Claire in Aaron's room... but I could be wrong. I mean, first she seems contented (if not stoned) like Christian just filled her in and she was cool with Aaron's destiny...then she changes and warns Kate NOT to bring him back?? Maybe it was Smokie/Jacob/? taking the form of Claire in Aaron's room then?? (but wait...then that would mean he was NOT required back...huh???) But It wouldn't be the first time someone was impersonated... I don't believe that was Walt standing at the Dharma pit telling John to get up, there's work to do.. do you??

I had my doubts about the Walt thing too.

Now, wait. There's a lightbulb over my head here... Getting back to what we were saying... I just watched the ff's again where Claire is hovering over Aaron...now I'm thinking it WAS undead Claire because she was tenderly caressing sleeping Aaron's hand when Kate walked in with the gun. If that was Smokie/Jacob... I don't think he'd be going that extra mile there.

So...we've got undead Claire saying don't go back. And Ben telling Jack they ALL have to go back (including Ben himself.."WE have to bring everybody...")
.... how much truth is my darling Ben disclosing? Me thinks my husband has his own agenda, notwithstanding Jacob/Smokie et al...

OMG, did I really say that???

Yes, I do believe there is a good chance Jin will end up still alive. The reason I say this is because Michael left the island and could not die until his karma/dharma was fulfilled. So, it would stand to reason that anyone who made it off the island to the freighter would be of the same fate.
