I don't think Michael is the person Ben is talking about who he has on Charlotte's boat. At the end of Season Two Ben says to Michael "Once you leave, you'll never be able to get back here. And my hunch is you won't say a word to anybody because if you do, people will find out what you did to get your son back." This tells me Ben had no alliance with Michael and he just used Walt as leverage to get rescued. I don't know but I think it may be someone else from the outside that Ben is suggesting. What do you guys think?

I think it may be Michael. Even though Ben said you won't be able to come back, wasn't that just before the hatch imploded? If that's the case then maybe Ben somehow contacted Michael. And also maybe Michael and Walt were found by that freighter.... possibly.

Michael may also have tried to get in Ben's good graces to get Walt back so maybe he is working with him.

I think it is Richard on the boat. And after the Chooper went for the island. A group of others boarded and took over the freighter.

I agree that in theory it doesn't seem likely that it could be Michael. You know when we've been informed there'd be four new characters? Well does that mean only four or could we yet be introduced to another?
I'm a little confused - where is George? Cos he already seems like a more sinister character!

Michael and walt leave island. Get caught by boat. michael somehow gets in contact with ben . michael needs help ben needs to know whats going on on the boat. they strike a deal.. a couple flashback scenes could sum it up rather quickly and it would all tie together.

Why would the frieghter people trust Michael and, more importantly, how is Ben communicating with him?

I like this theory, This is Quite Believable and sound like somthing Ben would plan.

then again, it could be micael as locke saw walt? Unless the Vision of walt Was Jacob Messing with Johns head. If you understand what im saying.

ummm who says they trust michael? how do you know the man on the boat is not a prisoner... he still can see whats going on and probably hears them talking hes amongst them. as for getting in contact with ben.. i dont know but im sure it wouldnt be hard for them to write into the story seeing how penny sudenly got into contact with charlie.. i dont know if its michael but im prety sure its not richard since him and the rest of the others were on a hike to the temple. whatever that is..

They would need to really trust Michael for him to get access to the bios of the team and know what there objective is. Even the Fantastic Four do not fully understand their roles.

Maybe when that psycho guy blew the hole in the looking glass, he wasn't killed by the grenade and maybe he is NOW on the freighter and maybe he's Ben's man on the freighter??? He DOES seem to have 9 lives!!!

At first I was thinking it was Patchy on the boat, but it can't be... He'd have to be in two places at once... How would he be on the freighter and at the same time be on the island?

It could be very possible that it is Michael on the freighter if he was intercepted leaving the island on the boat. He may have overheard the plan that was being devised by the crew and felt he needed to contact the island to do something right and save the survivors of 815. As far as jammed communications, it seems that the others may have been able to intercept communications to the island, which may have been the purpose of the looking glass station.
