As a belated (and really exciting) present, ABC posted the two-hour Jan. 21 "Lost" Season 5 premiere on their media site. So here's a look at what goes on in the first hour of the premiere. (I ended up not holding off on watching the second episode of the premiere, so here's some "Lost" tidbits from the remaining hour.)
Minor spoilers ahead.
1) There are two main time periods here -- directly after the Oceanic 6 (seven at the time with Jin) have left the island and three years into the future when Ben (Michael Emerson) has enlisted Jack (Matthew Fox) at Locke's (Terry O'Quinn) wake to round up all the other Lostees and get them back to the island. It was Locke who told Jack the others needed to return or everyone would die, and it was the all-seeing, all knowing Richard (Nestor Carbonell) who gave Locke that news to begin with.
