I was watching some previews for the new season and came across some interesting stuff that i had not seen before. One being Desmond and Penny in a bed together with a baby and Desmond kisses it and says he has to go. Hes most likely going back to the island. How is Penny gunna react? Will she go with him? If she does that will bring up more questions with Mr. Widmore. There was a lot more stuff, but i dont feel like posting it, besides you've probably already seen it.

It's too bad history keeps repeating itself on Lost. Will there ever be a decent father figure on the show?

Maybe his child is one of the people on the Island now. Remember when Michael went to see his son and everything was from like the 70's? The cars and his room his tv. When Jack and Kate had their house it was a newer house with a Star Wars toy.

So are you saying that you think when Micheal and Walt left the island they went back to the 70's and not present time?

Everything was from an earlier time. The cars the apartment's furnishings. Just a thought. It really seems like John has been through this before. He may not realize it now but boy rewatching it and the things that are said leads me to believe some of them have already done this.

lol. What I meant was that Desmond may have to leave them behind to go back to the island, if he's included with the rest of the 06. But he may stick around in order to protect Penny from Ben, obviously.

I wonder, though...does Ben know of Desmond's relationship with Penny? I suppose it would be impossible not to know, but the two characters have never met face to face. At least we know Ben knew of Desmond's presense on the island thanks to his comment about his boat in "The Shape of Things to Come."

And of course it seems to me that all the fathers on Lost have either been abusive or neglectful or just not around. Jack may have been a good father figure for Aaron, but he chooses not to see him or Kate anymore.

For the past 4 seasons the one thing that hasn't changed is the "father figure" theme so I definitely think thats going to play a huge significance in this season as well. Doesn't surprise me that Des is a father but that shows that a LOT of time is going to pass in the real world before the losties try to go back. I mean look at Aaron, he ages at least 3 years or so, right?
