Daniel and the others in the boat

Has this been answered or hyopthesized? What happened to Daniel and the ones in the boat that were on their way to the freighter when it blew up...? Did they make it back to the island??? Were they close enough in the water surrounding the island to travel with the island? Anyone have thoughts or ideas?

Since we haven't begun the new season yet it is only a guess but Daniel and the folks in the Zodiac raft moved with the island. So did the small island that the Hydra Station was on. There was absolutely nothing left in the water afte the freighter went under. By the way, after rewatching again for the millionth time, the freighter was 5 miles off the coast of the island. It had moved from it's original position of 80 miles off shore after Michael got the engines going but they would not go any further because they had no radar or sonar to see the reef. The distance was mentioned specifically in the episode.

OK.....I knew that the freighter had moved closer to the island b/c you can see it in the distance when Faraday is coming back to pick up a load of Survivors.....and then of course you can see the smoke from it when Juliette is on the beach with Tequilla and Sawyer......I also knew that the small island moved to b/c there is nothing anywhere after the island moved.....I just was curious about Daniel and his load in the Zodiac.....I figured that they too moved with the island, but was curious as to anyone else's thoughts, etc......thanks.....

The actual island would extend out underwater for miles until it hit the ocean floor. I picture it moving everything over top of it right from the very root of the island. So it would have moved Faraday and the freighter wreckage (Jin) with it, but not the helicopter because it was in the air. At least that's what I tell myself.

That's true about Jin! If he were in the water, wich I'm thinking he knew enough to jump, he would move with the island also. I'll keep telling myself that. I was really getting into Sun and Jin's story. They've come along way. He's got to be alive!!!

They definately moved with the island. Otherwise Daniel wouldn't be seen in the new trailers.

I agree. I think he did move with the island...There is a video from ComicCon, I tyhink it's called something like "Who is Pierre Chang?" that could possibly prove that the Zodiak raft went with the island. Sounds like Faraday. But how could that be 30years ago.Time travel. But the baby crying could be Charlotte?!? Did Widmore cause the purge or did Ben? This opens the door to a whole lot more questions. I gotta listen to this again. And If Widmore was involved could that be Penny crying as a baby?

That's a good thought, but, I think that Chang said "Can you just take him outside.." But I do like the theory that it could be someone else, perhaps Miles? Didn't he have a conversation with Charlotte about wanting to find out something about the Island? Maybe, somehow, it could be Miles...

You don't see Jin jumping off, but you see that he's not standing where he once was.

We don't see anything but the freighter explode. If Jin jumped or tried to jump off, he would still have died. He was direct center ship to the explosion. I think he is dead and the only times we will see him again are in flashbacks.
