I find myslef doubting anything Ben says. The one manipulation that intrigues me is when he "healed" Juliet's sister. Am I alone in believing that she never got cancer again and he just falsified medical records so that Juliet would believe her sister had cancer again and Ben could heal her? For me, that is one of the most clever and thought out manipulations Ben has performed.

IDK about the favorite, but Ben's defining "con" to me is when he gets past the security clerk at CWhidmore's pentouse. His entire story is a lie and the fate of the watchman's skull being bashed in with Ben's boomstick depends on whether or not he believes Ben. The guy is lucky he let Ben though.

Who knows...maybe Juliet's sister eventually died after having her child.
As for my own "favorite," it's hard to choose. I guess it depends on whether he meant for the O6 to die while they were on the frieghter.

The mother of them all was how he got Micheal to do everything that he did. Like the killing of Anna and Libby. Especially Libby.:mad:

In the hatch Ben knew how to play John by telling him that he didn't push the button and that nothing happened. He also played Jack and John against each other over who was giving orders and who was in charge. He is a master manipulator!!!

I hated it when we saw Ben's sneaky little grin after he manipulated Sayid into killing for him.
Also what about the way he manipulated Jack into doing the surgery for him. That one took some planning!

Yeah, the latter was a pretty long and complicated con, and after rewatching a few episodes, it seems he wasn't as confident as he always seems to be. And now we know he thinks Jacob wanted him to have that tumor, so that must have been hard for him.

Not only did he plan on Kate and Sawyer hooking up and Jack watching it, he also manipulated Juliet into befreinding Jack because she looks a lot like his ex-wife. Then when they escaped he continued to use Juliet to get information.

I think his best is yet to come, convincing the O6 they have to come back to the island so he can find it before charles.

The best manipulation Ben did was having LOCKE actually do it 4 him, by telling Jack that he had 2 lie 2 every1 just 2 save the island! YUP!

Not that anyone listens, but for the record, Ben never told Michael to kill Ana Lucia and Libby. And I really think people are assuming some of the things like making Anthony Cooper out to be Locke's father. Ben didn't create that, man...

God there are so many! Any time he's manipulated Locke has been good - cos he gets more of a reaction out of Locke. Locke is so strong-minded and wants to be in control and then Ben will say something to annoy him and he'll have to listen because he knows it will be important and then he'll worm his way in! But his manipulation is his downfall, he's like the boy who cried wolf now!
