He set up that becon, and told the chick on the boat to fire the payload at it, and it never showed up. What does that mean. The cargo or goods or whatever were supposed to be shot to the becon but they never showed up I thought that was really weird.

This makes me think more on the line of the island being in a different time and space.

well, sorry but the show answered my question. The payload showed up like 10 minutes late, weird, why? Different time zone?

Were those timers or just clocks?

I think they were just clocks... and the clock on the island was 30 minutes behind the clock from the boat, which is odd because they should be synchronised. I'm not 100% sure how much later the payload finally showed up, but the fact is the stuff on the island is all happening about 30 minutes in the past. Which begs the question... how are they able to converse with the boat over the phone in real time?

Well maybe onlly certain types of sound waves are able to pass through the electromagnetic field relayed by the island, therefore they would be able to speak live, but u never know.

Also Daniel was very sure to tell Frank to go on the same bearing he came in. I'm not sure what would go wrong if he went a different way. Maybe he wouldn't be able to find the freighter or maybe even the island.

the payload showed up exactly 31 minutes late.....and the clock on the payload said
2:45:03 and the clock on the island/experiment said 3:16:22........meaning that the island is behind in time....space time continum......oh hell im babbling

Were the clocks running or were they locked at the time the payload was launched? Either way, I don't understand how we could assume that the payload arrived exactly 31 minutes late using only the evidence of the clocks being 31 minutes apart from each other.

I can't stop thinking about it don't feel bad I mean I belive they are clocks I don't know why it was late and I don't know why the time was off.

Yeah that def shows us that they are back in time, just about 30 minutes which goes along with the rabbits in the video, how they were off I believe 30 minutes as well. I also found it interesting that each of those people are there for some purpose...like Charlotte says she has work to do and Dan wants to stay behind to continue his experiments....I think all those people are there for a particular purpose regarding the island and agreed to go to find Ben just so they'd have the chance to get to this island. Ahh tonight was soo good!! :)

Yeah it was pretty cool dz, I'm starting to believe they really don't want to find ben as much as they want to figure out the genuine qualities of the island. Faraday is awesome, he probably soon pass Locke on my fav. character list.

yeah dez...i have said that from the beg......that island is worth more thant money...they all want a piece of it....and what about when Daniel told the pilot "just make sure that u follow the same berring we came in on" and he seems freaked out.....maybe afraid as hell that they would end up in the wrong "time/place"

Yah! I thought was so bizarre! Its weird how they can all be talking on the radios and stuff yet they're all off 30 minutes?? Annnd I really wanted to know who that woman Sayid hooked up with was working for...perhaps Hanso?? Widmore?? Man it was crazy good tonight....I recognized Ben's voice like right away but didn't think it would really be him! he's so creepy haha :)

i think the girl sayid killed/ hooked up with as u put it Dzbabykel works for the same people that naomi works for, that would explain the bracelet clue

i think they were just clock
also i think the baring traveled detirminds the time shift that you experience. which is why daniel said that the pilot has to follow the same baring so that he would go out the same time dif he cam in (in coming in he went back 30 min then going out he would go forward 30 min)
also when ben told micheal to follow 325 because he knew there would be a boat there to rescue him where as if he was off that baring the time travel would be off making him miss the boat forward or backward.
also radio waves go out in many directions so they would come in in a few different barings makeing communication still possible or because they are waves and not solid object they arent affected by the time shift

Perhaps this time issue has something to do with the "taller Walt" who knows

Which brings to mind how do they know, have they known before they got hired to "hit" the island? Charlotte was in the desert and found the Darhma pet collar on the polar bear...ya like we all have a polar bear pet! I think that it's something mystical like Atlantis and that's the tie in with time/space.

Forgive my stupidity, but how do I post a new thread? I can not find how to! I want to know if anyone follows www.find815.com I started to, but then thought it would just confuse me more and now am wondering if it might be helpful...

Remeber, Naiomi had to keep adjusting the radio to get the best signal. Mayb the radio tower is helping boost the signal through time. The radio may find a 'path' through the time shift.

that beacon experiment gave a huge answer in itself - it shows there are definitely time differences - its like the island works in slo-mo! however i found it very interesting how he was very specific in making sure frank followed the same co-ordinates. that coud suggest the alternate/parallel worlds thing or the fact that its the only way off.

Yah he wanted Frank to follow the same coordinates in the helicopter just as Ben had told Michael and Walt to follow the same coordinates in the water. Interesting....:p

well... The phones are not sending sound waves... They are sending radio waves... Radio waves travel at the speed of light... So 30 minutes dilation for the payload... This would delay the waves... but not much... Maybe enough to make "the light not scatter right out here"
There is no question that there is some time difference/travel going on here. Also during Jack's flash foward, he mentioned to that one doctor to "get his dad down here", when he was drunk at the hospital... Crazy!
What if his dad isn't dead post-island...

Yah I'm still soooo confused on the whole Christian Shepard thing...I mean I went back and watched the episode 'White Rabbit' from Season 1 where you SEE Jack's father DEAD in a body bag....he's even blue! So to say that he comes back to life to me is just nuts, especially since the writers have stated that anyone who dies on the show ACTUALLY dies. So yah....confusion
I guess the writers could actually find a loophole in the sense that Chrisitan (thanks for reminding me of his name) didn't technically die on the show.... He was already presumed to be dead...
Does anyone know who Hurley saw when he looked in the window of Jacob's cabin a couple episodes ago?
Dzbabykel

He def saw Christian Shepard in the chair but we're still not sure of the eye....I'm assuming it was that of Jacob's who is yet to be known.
