ok realy old but they never said anything about why the guy claire was talking to about giveing up her baby was so insistant that she had to raise him and then he sends her on the plane that crashed so is the reason that the plane crashed b/c of claire. and is her baby like the messiah or something?

remember that claire and jack hav same father who also knew ana lucia and sawyer so i wouldn't say the plane crash was because of claire but i believe she was definately meant to be on that plane.as for aaron being messiah,i dunno bout that but he is important for sure.maybe he makes to the island as an adult and takes over from ben and locke as the islands protector

That guy only said that to make claire scared so that she would come back. When she did come back, he arranged for her to give the baby to one of his friends in LA for cash. So that was definitely not the reason the plane crashed.
Also, the psychic admitted to Mr. Echo that he was a fake so was probably conning her somehow... as it is one of the largest themes in the show.

But he insisted that it had to be flight 815, no other. IT shouldn't have mettered to him to so much if his friend had to wait a day or a few hours or whatever.

there is a lot of strange "forces" or people pushing the survivors on to the island. Like Locke's boss at the box factory and Hurley's Boss at the chicken place are the same guy.
