I really don't like her character right now. She seems to be to blind sided in her little revenge thing. I hope she has an amazing 3 year back story

I'm with ya. She is like pure evil now, and acting totally selfish like it was everyone elses fault that Jin died. Her character has always been a little sneaky though.

I love this show. And then I love how in the preview for next week's episode it shows Ben telling Sun, that Jin is not dead. How does Ben know this?

I believe it isn't Ben that Sun is after. It's Jack. There are a few instances that support this theory. In the season 4 finale when Ben meets Jack at the funeral parlor and he is telling him that everybody needs to go back, Jack says "Sun blames me for...". It is Jack that stops Kate from going to get Jin from the freighter before it explodes and it's Jack that tells Sun that he is gone when she is throwing her fit in the chopper after the explosion. In "The Lie", when we see the O6 going over their lie on Penny's boat, Jack asks Sun if she is good with the lie and she just kind of looks at him and gives a weak nod as if to say f you.

She asks Kate about Jack in "The Lie" when they are in the hotel room in a really strange fashion. I forget the line she says before that, but the "How is Jack" comes out kind of evil-like. And all those pictures that she is getting has not only Ben in them, but also Jack. I just don't understand her angle on contacting Widmore.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but this is my theory on evil Sun.

I somewhat agree with you. Why would Sun blame Ben for Jin's death? Ben did not put Jin on the frieghter. Sun does not know that the freighter was there because Charles Widmore was looking for Ben. She doesnt know that Ben killed Keamy causeing the frieghter to blow up. Really... she doesnt know Ben is involved with the frieghter at all, although she may assume or suspect it. Seems to me like she would first blame Kate, then Jack, then Widmore. We know she doesnt blame Kate, or she says she doesnt, so I would think she wouldnt blame Jack for the same reason she doesnt blame Kate. That leaves Widmore.

I have a feeling she is up to something... But, either way, the Losties will get back to the island dead or not... Because I don't think they would do 1-2 more seasons without them interacting again.

I also think that she wants to kill Jack and not Ben. The first thing that made me think this was when she asked Kate in the "The Lie"......."......so...how is Jack?" It sounded quite evil. I'm not sure why she wants Ben (as she told Widmore), but I'm pretty sure she totally blames Jack for Jin's death. But how happy will she be when she finds out he's still alive?:)

I'm in agreement with your theory. I've been playing this out in my head and I keep coming up with the same answer......Sun is really after Jack BUT I don't think she can bring herself to kill Jack. And in the back of her mind she might think the vast majority of the losties problems have been caused in a roundabout way by Ben. She can't take her revenge out on Jack so she'll attempt to take it out on Ben instead.

That's my take on it.

In the short time I've been here I've been impressed with the way all of you can come up with some of these great theories and the way you connect all the dots. I thought I had it all figured out but when I read what all of you have to say I realize I don't. You guys ROCK!

I agree with this, too. What made me think of this at first were the pictures she got with the chocolate box gun. Either all or most of them were of Ben AND Jack. IF she was just after Ben, why would she need pictures of Jack with Ben, unless going after Ben is her cover, and it's really Jack.

And I agree that I definitely do not like the direction her character is going, especially since Jin is alive, assuming of course that his "death" is the reason for her turn. I hope she believes Ben (haha yeah right!) next week and doesn't resort to drastic measures...Or Kate stops her.

People read too much between the lines here...

We know that jin is alive but nobody else knows that .
Also sun knows that everything happening on the island when they were there was bens fault.. Now I'm sure that the talks with widmore even conviece her more about ben being responsible for everything. Widmore even sends her a gun. For what ?? To kill ben of course.
I love this show and I love put things together but a lot of these things are easy to see. You don't have to read between the lines all the time.
Even with the clips from next week you could see ben trying to get out of being shot by telling her jin's alive and he could prove it.. Obviously its just one more of his mind games. I like to see how he is going to prove that.

I agree, I think Sun is definitely out to kill Ben and not Jack. Related to that however, maybe Ben already knew this and that's why it was so easy for Sun to get all those pictures of him, he was letting it happen. Just like he did with Kate and the lawyer, he knew being in the open would draw her right to him. Allowing him a chance to try and get her back to the island.

As far as proving Jin is still alive. Perhaps Ben has some form of proof from the past. Maybe a picture or who knows what else from Jin's time travels. Hell, Ben could have already met them all himself in the past even before their plane crashed on the island.
