Oceanic Stewartess an "Other"?

The Stewartess who chases down Charlie on the plane is on the island with the others. She tells Locke "don't mind them" when he first sets up camp after joining the others.

Who do you mean Cindi? She's not an other, she got captured, at the beginning of season 3 they didn't know the others really meant well, so Jack really didn't understand yet.

I am not totally convinced that she was captured. I mean she sort of disappeared from a group with no commotion etc. Frankly I won't be surprised if the pilot ends up alive again.

It's unclear where Cindy falls into place in all of this. She was the flight attendant on the plane and the others do appear to have taken her. However, she now seems happy as a clam living with the Others. She tells Jack that it's not what he thinks it is, or something like that. So we don't know if she is an original Other or if she has been brainwashed.
