Abaddon is the Economist

Is anyone else thinking along these lines because it seems that all signs would point to him, as the bracelet connects Ilsa and Naomi as possibly having worked for the same boss...I think this is building to an international war between Ben and Abaddon and whatever they each stand for and what organizations they belong to and who they can control...perhaps the island was Ben's hideaway during this global confrontation...

so let's hear everyone's thoughts...

i was thinking the same thing. plus, if ben wants to kill the economist, it would make sense as abbadon clearly seems to have it in for ben.

that makes sence it also would help explain why sayid is working for ben. abbadon wants to kill the others that got off the island. and like ben said he has to protect them from him.

What if the chick's boss' name was Danielle Rousseau? :-) imean she wa sspeaking French. She might orignaly be from a simuler freighter just like the Fantastic Four. :-) That would be why she came to the island orginaly . To find Ben. But she was caught and heald on to this cover story of i was caught in a storm. think about it. How else to get back at Ben but to team your self with what ever orgisation abbadon works for. It was her on the phone in that Flash Fwd. I know the man on the other end was a French speaking man. But what if it wasn't a man?

i don't remember the language of the conversation...i had thought it was german since they were in germany and she had previously established that sayid didn't speak german and so would be more likely to speak a language she thought he didn't know than one that he might know

If Rousseau wants to kill Ben, then why wouldn't she just have found a way to kill him on the island? She is clearly in Locke's group and Locke has Ben as a prisoner with him so she could have easily had her chance to kill him. Not to mention in Season 2 where Ben aka "Henry Gale" got caught in one of her traps. At first she was the only one to know so she could have killed Ben without anyone knowing, but then she went to find Sayid with the other Losties and they dealt with him.

Yeah it was definitely German that they were speaking. I speak German so I would know.

also danielle say she did want off the island because there is nothing there for her anymore. her and alex could stay on the island and be just as happy. and yes she hates ben but him leaving the island would be just as good to her as him dead

yeah that's what i thought because i speak french and my ears would have tuned in if it had been french so when i started hearing something else i just tuned out and read the subtitles

Whatever. I was just excited from watching this episode. It was Germen. I just remeber that now. They where in Germany. So everyone get off your soap box now. Besides that w ehaven't had any of her flash backs. So we know nothing other than her word as to why she is there and why she wants to stay.

That was my first thought that Abaddon is the economist. But then I started thinking no he's got to be a middle man because people who have that much power in the world are not hands on people. ex going to see Hurley in the mental insitution, telling Naomi the invade the island game plan.

No he works for someone just like I think that Ben awnsers to someone off the island.

I personally think the big boss man is Mr. Widmore.....and Abaddon works directly for him as like you said the "middle man".

yeah i think you're right... you could probably say ben is to jacob as abaddon is to widmore... although i think paik has got to be in the abaddon/widmore equation somewhere as well

I think Abaddon is just a small piece of the pie. There are much bigger fish in the sea. I still say that Mr. Widmore has something to do with all of this.

Yes. Widmore/Paik/Abaddon all three control the freighter section. Now to me Abaddon and Paik are middle men. They have money and power. But nothing compaired to their respectful "leader" or CEO such as possable suspect Widmore. Whom all three men may be middlemen that only make up co-host of the organization. Like finacial backers and connections to things. Such as Paik we know has connection to hitmen and money in Korea such as Jin was hired on as a hitman. I bet Jin is revealed as one of the Oceanic six who is a hit man not for Paik who will be seen taking orders from a familuer voice as we saw Sayid taking orders from Ben. But it want be Ben. The Leader so to speak is someone we haven't meet yet. Or atleast it will be seen as we haven't. In Jin's case he might be a hitman for Ben and it begins to start a role here. the Oceanic six are agents for Ben. I wouldn't be suprized to see Kate doing hitman acts for Ben next episode. Now the only two I can't place their sides with Ben would be Hurley and Jack. what possable deeds could Ben use them for? Maybe a medic for Jack and a spy in Hurly. Like someone to take the heat if another spy is in danger of being caught?. I doubt that since they seem to be going threw mental break downs.
