Has anybody noticed...

that in the graphic for the show that they use for advertisement and "next week on Lost", they use a wideshot of the island itself. In the water below, there looks like the reflection of a city skyline. Has anybody else seen this? Any thoughts of what this might mean? I honestly dont have a clue.

Hey! I noticed it first thing and got all crazy about an idea of this being some kind of Atlantis thing. Haven't kicked the idea around to much other than Atlantis mysteriously disappeared and that the island if pretty unusual. The Penny's boat finding the signal for the sailboat with the ice capped land in the background gave me a camoflage type "snowglobe" feeling.

yeah i saw this too. i did some looking into it and some of the theories that are being tossed around are based on time travel. the survivors might have gone through a time warp and the island is actually a city (like NYC) that got destroyed in the past. this would explain the 4 toed statue.

Yah I noticed that, I believe I posted a pic in another thread so everyone could see it...I'll have to find it. But yah I find that really interesting...almost like showing the connection between life on the island in the present compared to their lives in the flashforwards off the island.

I think the city reflection is more based on the premise of this season of the survivors actually getting off the island and us getting to see flash forwards and seeing the Oceanic 6 returning to everyday life.

well, initially I thought it's aliens and alien technology, but that would be such a let-down. I like the Atlantis idea because it's like Eqyptolgy stuff, sorta creepy, and the 4 toes is like someone revereced as a God and they had a whole statue at one time.

i read someone's comment somewhere about this before because they used this on promo posters and someone mentioned that the city is hong kong...not sure if that's correct but it didn't look like any american city i have been to...

Thanks ppl I had missed that whole scene - Wow, how wonderfully intriguing. The show is just awesome and with NO ANSWERS - more wonders and questions - for a show to last this long and still has us thinking and researching how I love Lost......it keeps us wondering - Smart Show
