Radios with Danielle's crew.

When Danielle and company were on the beach with Jin, one guy is holding a radio. There is a man's voice saying on the radio "4 8 15 16 23 42". Did anyone else notice this? I had to turn the sound up and listen carefully but you can hear it!

I noticed it too. I thought it was Rousseau's message at 1st, but apparently it's the same transmission and numbers Hurley's Santa Rosa homeboy Lenny heard while in the Navy.

I looked up the French transcripts and one of the Frenchies says..." i told you we shouldn't have followed those numbers" which makes it sound like that's what caused the wreck.

yeah , and that is the same signal that danielle and her crew were following , then danielle changes it to her message which we know was on a loop for 14 or 16 years dont remember . then sayid , kate and other losties trek into the jungle to find that signal of danielle's .

Yes, that's right. It is the original signal that the DI was broadcasting that supposedly forecasted the end of humanity. The same one that Lenny heard, the same one that Danielle had changed to her message after she killed off her team members, etc.

I thought this was pretty common knowledge. Rousseau explains this to Hurley in the original Numbers episode in season 1 (i think).

Rousseau's group follows the numbers on the transmission (which Hurley's friend's friend also heard) and they replaced it with their SOS transmission (as was previously stated by the previous posts here..)
