Are there any scenes with Rouseau and Jin from the past seasons? Any expressions of recognition upon seeing him on the island with the losties? Or would she not have recognized him cause of the time travel thing which I am still confused about.

I think he means interaction with Danielle in the 108 days after the crash.

I'm pretty sure that Rousseau has only seen Jin in group settings, never any one on one scenes.
!)In season one when she came to warn them the Others were coming for the child
2)At the end of season 3 when Jack blows up the tree
3)In season 4 when they plan for Jin to stay at the beach and shoot the dynamite, while Rousseau takes the rest to the radio tower. And then afterwards when they meet at the cockpit, then spit into the Locke and Jack camps.

My personal theory is that Danielle just thinks all asian look alike.

No, she doesn't recognize him because she hadn't met him before since she was just arriving on the island, but he recognized her because he's already lived the future...Does that make any sense?

I get what you're saying bamboo...does Rouseau recognize Jin in say season's 1-4? Before the time travel started. She has met Jin in her past and nothing can change that according to Daniel. But maybe with all the flashes Jin is only around for a short period of time and Rouseau forgets about meeting him? He should be traveling through time with every flash just as the others are. Maybe Jin disappearing is part of the reason why Rouseau's crew goes up going mad and results in her killing them.

I was a little confused by last week's episode (small wonder, eh?)

I thought the woman who introduced herself to Jin was Danielle Rousseau's MOTHER because she was pregnant. I didn't catch her first name..only last name but if it wasn't Danielle....
But I just saw on another site that another actress plays Danielle R. when she was younger.
Did anyone else get this impression?

No, the women who introduces herself to Jin is the same Rousseau that we met in the present time. She and her crew are about to go through some rough times. She told Sayid about how she had to kill her crewmates when they got "sick". Jin is about to disappear during the next time flash; however, I believe we will get to see what actually happened to Rousseau's team and why Ben took Alex.

there should be some sort of recognition atleast for a split second with rousseasu and jin,because john talking to richard is what causes richard to come visit him as a kid and see if john recognizes the compass.meeetings in these past flashes is the actual reason for things that happen in future events.it doesnt change the future ,it is the way it is i think. i would have to rewatch and see if there is at least a suttle look.it might not have been that wierd of a thing for her to see a familiar face after 16 years of what she has been going thru.shes been on the island long enough to know its not normal and shes not so normal either.

About 15 years ago I suffered from a horrific accident, was rushed to the hospital and under got fixed. To this day if the surgeon or the nurse or anyone at that moment crossed my path today I would never recongnise them. So I think that plays a part in to it. It would be nice to be able to catch something like Danielle recognicing him in early episodes, but it is a work in progress.

That's horrible to hear but I guess your story has a happy ending, huh Desi? I've actually rewatched a lot of their moments together and I haven't seen a hint of recognition in either of their faces. It's odd.
