any idea why sayid and ben had a falling out? sayid doesnt seem mad enough to attack ben, so i wonder what exactly happened between the time they were working together until now

My biggest guess is Ben asked Sayid to kill Penny, Sayid said no, threatened Ben, ran off and got Hurley out of the Mental Inst.

Now yes, Ben could have gotten anybody to kill Penny but by having Sayid do it Sayid would carry more guilt and wanna go back to the island to "purge" his soul or go back in order to change the events of her death.

Just my guess, it's prolly wrong and full of holes.

Sayid knows that Ben is a master manipulator and in the back of his head he had a thought that that man did not kill Nadia, but since he lost her he wanted retribution and he wanted it now so Ben offering people on a silver platter was the ultimate payback whether or not they had a hand in Nadia's death.

I think Sayid just got tired of killing for Ben and had an epiphany, especially after killing Elsa whom he did love. I just think he already had his change of heart and when Ben said "Kill Penny" Sayid said no way homie me and Des are BFF's or something to that effect.
