In the adam and eve scenes,
in "House of the Rising Sun", when Jack and Kate find the cave people, we see the colors again. On one of the bodies, Jack removes a small bag that contains a white stone and a black stone. When Locke shows up, Jack quickly hides the stones.

wtf happen there¿

I don't know if this is significant information but i know who the rocks belong to.... Juliet! in season 4 episode 6 Juliet is playing with a mini rock garden that has those rocks in it (right at the begining of the episode) But anyone could have got there hands on those rocks.

woah. i just rewatched the ,House of the Riseing sun, and the part im baffled about is not the hidding of the b/w stones but charlie says are these the people that were here befor us? whaile locke is standing near them the kate and jack look at each other and charle , in a manner which indecates charlie said something that he wasnt suppost to, then lock says what are you talking about , charle starts studdering trying to cover what he said.

The floor of the ice caves where the wheel is, is also covered in black and white stones.

With all the connections to backgammon, I think that they might be stones used for the game. If that's the case it could be alot of people.

Yeah, i just whatched it again (S1E6 14:20) That was too weird! Heres the transcript:

CHARLIE: You two run away fantastically. Glad my diversion spared you. I was only stung several hundred times. Oh, and uh, someone left this [handing Kate her shirt].

KATE: It was, um, it was full of bees.

CHARLIE: I'd have thought C's, actually. JM222: HA HA!

[Kate gives him a "you're an idiot" look.]

CHARLIE: Sorry.

[Jack sort of laughs. Then Charlie sees one of the skeletons. Jack is looking at the other one.]

CHARLIE: Bloody Hell! Are these the people who were here before us?

[Jack looks toward Locke. Locke comes closer.]

LOCKE: What are you talking about?

[Jack gives Charlie a "you idiot" look.]

CHARLIE: Uh, just, you know, the, the, there could have been people here before us, right?

[Locke looks toward Jack who looks away.]

LOCKE: Clearly. But, who were these men?

JACK: Actually, one of them is female.

LOCKE: Our very own Adam and Eve.

Could this mean that there are already two timelines running? Jack give charlie a YOU IDIOT look, as though Charlie almost revealed some thing that locke shouldn't know about yet! is this future Jack, like after he came back to the island? did he confide in charlie Thinking charlie would take that info to the grave? You just blew my mind!

Agreed!!! Just saw that episode and the tone in Charlies voice was that of someone who knew that there were these people who came before him. It was a really suspicious attitude. Something to that for sure!!!

I figured when I first watched it that the reason he glared at him like that is just cause it was a bad attitude to have I guess. It was like he was saying, "Yep, they died. We will probably die here too."

Im not sure about the black and white stones, I too have posted a question about them, but what I do know is that the reason why Jack gave Charlie the idiot look was because in the pilot episode Charlie and a couple of other people found the radio with the French lady on it Charlie says something like " wait so we were not the only ones on this island?" and then Jack tells all of them not to tell the others because it might upset them that we are probably not going to get off this island for a while. So when Charlie accidentally slips it out Jack gives him the look because he was told not to tell. But, who knows right? I still think that was a good prediction.:D

i agree, that makes perfect sense. also. i personally believe, that due to their age and the fact that they were also time flashing, that adam and eve are indeed bernard and rose. then again jack did say it takes about 50 years for clothes to degrade that much, so perhaps im wrong.

but in the current season if in fact Rose and Bernard also went back to the 70s then the skeletons could very well be theirs

In the last scene between Jack and Locke, before Jack left the island, not sure what episode, Locke tells Jack that Jack is a man of faith, and Jack says, No he's not. Locke says, Yes you are, you just dont know it yet. It seems funny now that Jack has become a man of faith, and destiny. Locke "predicted" it, or was it a future Locke who already knew.

For some reason I think its Kate and Jack. I dont know why but would seem poetic that they would be the ones to find their own bodies. right after Jack said one was a female the camera looked right at Kate. Just knowing how TPTB do things I wouldnt at all be surprised that it is Jack and Kate. In fact when I rewatched this episode for some reason I thought it might be them. Also when Jack was talking to Kate about bringing people to the water he finished off by saying "I think we can live here" This statment I think was a prelude to them in the future well their future but back in the 70's after returning to the Island. Thery already knew about it so maybe they ended up together again and either succumbed to soe type of sickness or Smokie killed them in a way that Nikki and Paulo died and ended up next to each other

Nice idea; I was under the impression that Adam and Eve were Jin and Sun, (they were using the stones to play Baduk, even though the stones are probably too large), since the skeletons were discovered in a Jin and Sun centric episode.

But your idea is poetic ;>

Nope....
Charlies was one of the people who discovered the transcript loop recording that already meant and established someone had been on the island before them. The people in that party agreed to keep it "secret". Locke at that point in time, was unaware of Rousseau or the recording....so Charlie had just blew "the supposed secret" when Locke came up.

Rose and Bernard seem the obvious choice..
The sun and Jin are very interesting. I didnt think about the sun/jin centric episode. May be something to that..
But in light of some recent thoughts and re-watching of episodes-it may be Des and Penny in there

He was covering the fact that he knew people had been stranded on the island before as discovered by Rousseau's distress call. They decided not to tell the rest of the group in order to keep hope of rescue alive. Locke is not aware of this information.

well if it is 50 years or about the approx for them to have died '77 when the blast happened or where we were left at then it would make the year 2027 and even if they died later like 10 years so i dont think it could be anyone on our island that we know of atm, maybe it is people off of the black rock?? or off of rousessou's team, I know jack said one of them was a girl so that wouldnt work out if it was part of rous team. But yeah sun and Jin is an interesting thought but des and penny? erm would des ever come back to the island??

50 years from 2004 bring us in 1954. Now we have seen only one scene of 1954 and there we see only two candidates for being Adam and Eve in the sense of a couple. Widmore and Eloise.

So as people speak often about multiple universes....in that part Jughead did explode and this strange romantic couple Eloise and Charles died.
The time travel events changed the past? Some alternation. And Charles and Eloise do everything to stay alive?
Maybe that is the reason why Charles want to control the Island and Eloise does what she does. They both should have been dead in 1954?

Just guessing.

I think it's defo Bernard and Rose.

In season 5 when sawyer, kate and juliet find them hiding out in the cabin kate tells them about the jughead bomb and how it could kill them all and bernard says the following..

''So we die, all we care about is being together''

I think that made it obvious. plus they would have been in the caves for probably 30 years and maybe the black and white stones are a clue to who they were?? bernard white, Rose black???

I think they make references and parallels to Adam and Eve but I don't think they're actually GOING to be Adam and Eve...that's a bit of a stretch I think :p Interesting though!

It would be cool if they pull a 12 monkeys move and have Jack Discover his own body.
