When Boone and Locke are out looking in the jungle for the plane that Locke saw in his " dream " remember he fell and Boone is like what is the matter with your legs and it was his right leg! Well that is the same place, leg and jungle, that Ethan shot Lockethis season.
nice find! And if this isn't coinicdence then it is cool how the writers have been planing the series all along.

I like it. Good catch."dream"? or Memory? Maybe John's other dreams are actually memories...Horace cutting down trees; John could have been there when it happened in real time due to his time traveling.
Is John's "dream" then at the same time that Boone mentions Theresa falling up the stairs and down the stairs...I've wondered about that now that we have a new Theresa character; if they are one and the same. Is there a thread for that question already?

I just checked it out and...
Locke has a dream that he's in a wheelchair, he sees the beachcraft crash, and Boone all bloody saying the Theresa lines.
Then when he and Boone get to the beachcraft Locke loses the use of both his legs.
So I don't know if there's any real connection, because Locke had lost use of both legs not just the one.

I was watching season one again and he, John said he didn't go up to see what was in the plane because he got a charlie horse in his leg. Hmmm same leg as the shot from Ethan.

Actually, Locke lost the use of both of his legs but yes, he was wounded in the same leg that in the time jump he would also be wounded in. Later in that episode John is sitting by the fire and pokes his leg and realizes it is numb. He does the same to the other leg. Numb. He then takes a hot poker from the fire and sticks his foot with it. No reaction. Numb.
What does this say? It says that Locke's legs are still paralyzed for some reason although he can walk. It is as if he is in more than two places at one time....
The dream sequence? Yes, a memory. They tied it in with the memories of his mother and that was the backstory in that episode. Crazy Emily who had also been in Santa Rosa. That was part of his consciouss memory. His mother. Bloody Boone was a future memory of an event about to happen. The Beechcraft, a future memory of the past that will take place soon. The wheel chair possibly his present memory somewhere else in time and that's why his legs were still paralytically numb. Maybe at that moment he was caught between two spacetimes....
Isn't it the next episode when John builds the sweatlodge and has another weird head trip?

Locke builds the sweat lodge at the beginning of season three; after causing the hatch implosion.
He loses his voice and cannot speak.

Locke's leg being injured in the same spot is a pretty big connection.
I always had a thought that he lost the use of both legs because the island want' to keep him on the ground to find the Pearl.
I think that Locke wasn't meant to open the Swan and disrupt Desmond. He was meant to find the hatch, so that he could save Desmonds life on the night of the light/aaron's birth. What if Boone died that same night at the Pearl because Locke was meant to stop Desmond from killing himself, then discover the Pearl. If he'd found the Pearl he would have stopped his quest to open the hatch, and continue on his path. We all know how much the Swan set Locke back on his "journey"
Any thoughts?

He was just saying that to Sayid because he didnt want to explain that he was once paralyzed and since coming to the Island he has been able to walk. Than try to explain that the island was taking it away again. I believe he was losing the ability to walk entirely all together not just the one leg. And dont forget, that was the same leg that the metal shard stuck in it after he tried to crack the glass with his contraption. He pulled it out and that night he stuck something hot on his foot and didnt feel it.

interesting, so Why or how would Locke not open the Hatch? He's a very determined fellow.
it definately seems the Island doesn't want Locke climbing up to the Beechcraft.

Locke was meant to bang on the Swan hatch door that night, because it is what saved Desmond from shooting himself. But I also think he was meant to find the Pearl, and therefore leave Desmond in the Swan.
We all know that all of John's setbacks started once he went into the Swan; maybe that wasn't part of his "path" to ever enter it.

true, I hear what you're saying, and I agree he was supposed to save DES' life, but he didn't know he did at the time. I just can't picture Locke leaving the Hatch alone, even if he did find another one. I know I wouldn't. On second thought after reading "quarantine" maybe i would leave it alone.
