Welcome to the thread that's dedicated to those that throw their weight behind Ben; but find themselves slightly confused by his actions.

I don't trust him at all! But I can't HATE the guy! Does that make me lukewarm?

I feel the same way. At first I HATED him, but then thought that his motives behind all the manipulation were good. He has demonstrated that he cannot be trusted. Reminds me of difficult decisions in life. We never know for sure what an outcome will be, but we follow our instincts and deal with the consequences. Remember when he said "I always have a plan". Right now the survivors are following him because it is the best they can do right now to shed the terrible sadness and discomfort they are feeling. For example, look at Sun. She was ready to shoot Linus-but he offers her a little hope at knowing her husband is still alive. Linus tells her-"shoot me and you'll never know". Just enough to get her to listen and give it a try. She is driven by sadness and loss, and Ben provides another road to take-something else to consider. I'm sure all the characters have something similar going on. Any thoughts?

wow, Existentialist...what a fine twist on an otherwise grim situation.
I don't think I can expound on that nor post a better one. I really liked your thoughts there. And how true!
