Whose initials are R.G. Any speculation?

Anyone got a screen shot of Bens passports. What was the alias he was using for the one Sayid looked at. Maybe it will link us to something else. Coffin maybe?

hey man thanks!

your right tho, still kinda hard to make out. Stan is a good guess, looks like that or Sean. I was half hoping to see John or something along the lines that tied to the newspaper clipping.

Any stab at R.G. ? First impulse was Richard, but doubtful because he is an "other" so what ties would he have with Naomi.

If you look up R.G.Austin he is an Author with strange books like Strange Worlds in the Bermuda Triangle. He has written a lot and you can click on them and find out what they are about. I googled R.G. in lost.

Looks like "Moriarty" to me: an appropriate name since Moriarty was the evil genius behind all the crime in Sherlock Holmes's London.

But don't forget that Dean Moriarty was the other main character in Kerouac's "On the Road." Loosely based on Neal Cassady, Moriarty was a beat-hobo who careened around the country on various whims looking for new experiences and people, usually leaving a wake of destruction in his path with respect to his personal relationships. The name could be reinforcing the idea that Ben gets around, and that he has plenty of enemies and friend on a large, international scale.

Thanks for posting that! As that passport shows, it looks like Ben (or shall we say Dean) is some kind of doctor...or vet as it showed him in the flashforward. I wonder how that came to be about?? That opens up a whole new slew of questions....maybe he's worked with Dr. Shepard before? Maybe he's worked in the same hospital as Juliette regarding the fertility treatments?? I know that passport says Zurich but I doubt thats the only "doctor" passport he's got.

The passport was authorised in 2003, a year before the crash. However could be fake passport as there is an A missing from an APR...

AAARRRGHH!!! what does this mean???

What if Ben is just one of many clones of the same person? You know, Ben is Ben, and Dean is Dean...maybe Ben is the one that got away and that is why people are looking for him?

I dont think that he is an escapee clone type deal. he may in fact be a clone, and killed the host or source body, and now acting like a renegade. But what your saying BBourque wouldn't explain why he had all those passports.

The switzerland passport is interesting. i am intrigued by the Moriarty character description given early in the thread, as a beat hobo/nomad type guy. That makes alot of sense and would tie in kinda true to Ben's personality.

How did he come across so much money is another question?

well, we only saw one passport that was his...maybe the others are different? What I think it could be is what he did with Henry Gale. I bet he killed a bunch of people and assumed their identity...that would not surprise me as he has done it on the show.

Yah I agree, wouldn't surprise me either.

yeah i definitely thought it was an "On the Road" reference when i first saw that, especially because it's an exact name and not just a last name that needs to be pulled from somewhere else...

I still contend that RG is what Naomi called her hypothetical twin sister Regina... like she might say "Hey Reg!" and then this got shortened to "Hey RG!" or Regina got married to someone with a last name that started with G

also, the passport isn't showing that he's a doctor, that's just the swiss flag emblem...

and i don't think clones really make sense, especially since the producers said that was not going to be a theme in the show... i think it's all his fake passports, a variety of currencies, and all is wardrobe changes for whatever character he will be playing when he travels.... it is basically like stumbling on jason bourne's cache
