Aaron-red herring?

I'm getting a vibe that Aaron may be just a red herring and will have very little to do with the end run of the show. So Ben's getting the band back together at the docks and there is Aaron in the Sun's car. Kate may decide to go back to the Island, but I seriously doubt that she would want to put Aaron's life at risk. So, Aaron's Grandma is conveniently in L.A. My guess is that Kate will leave him with Grandma!

I'm not sure what evidence there's actually been to suggest Aaron is anything other than a normal child, except the fact he was born on the island. But that might say more about Claire than Aaron.

Since babies being born on the island is such a key element I'd say he still has a place for discussion. That last scene with Jin and Rousseau had a key moment where the camera focused on her pregnant belly. Seems to be another suggestion that babies are important to focus on (in regards to plot).

I think that shot was simply there to reinforce that this was indeed Rousseau, still pregnant with Alex.

I dunno. She gave Jin her full name too. I mean..how many french women on a crazy lost island with that name is Jin gonna run into :)

..but yeah. it does help i guess. Still, babies born on the island is a lot of what the others were working on...so if one is born there i'd say they'd be pretty hard pressed to get it back.

There was the ominous prediction by Richard Malkin that said danger surrounded him and he must not be raised by another. People will debate whether or not Malkin is really psychic, but that has been a very odd setup for Aaron since before he was born.

Aaron is one of the o6, his grandfather is Christian Sheppard, his Uncle Jack Sheppard. He survived ( in the womb) the 815 crash, being marooned on crazy Island, attempted kidnappings, the Heli crash in the ocean, The 9 hour raft voyage to another 3rd world island......He has to be one of the toughest little 4 year olds ever, if nothing else. Plus he's famous.

I don't think the issue is so much babies being born on the island, because we've seen two cases where they were. I think the issue is the babies being both conceived and born on the island. Still I think aaron has a part to play, what I'm not sure but 5star made a good point, he survived a Heli crash as an infant!

I think Jack and Christian (and Claire) have a more deep seeded role in the island than we realize. Jack's family seems destined for the island more than anyone else and the fact that a decendent of that bloodline was actually born on the island is probably very very significant. Besides they have made a huge deal about Aaron since the first season.

Yep, the little guy has been through a lot. Still though, he is part of the O6, or at least that is what we've been led to believe. Seems like dropping him off with Grandma leaves some holes-- we're repeatedly told that they ALL have to go back.
