Please can people be aware that not everyone enjoys to read spoilers. This is why there is a specific spoiler section in the forum, so that those of you who like to indulge can and those of who don't, can steer clear.

If you can't manage that and your thread/post contains spoilers or you think it might contain a potential spoiler, at least have the courtesy to warn people before they open the thread. At the very least, DO NOT blurt out the spoiler in the thread title and ruin things for some people.

Thanks...or maybe I should say...TIA ;)

Ya, I know I dispise spoilers. That's my preference. I find out what's going to happen when it happens. I appreceiate people trying to give advance warning:like when they show this::

Just to reiterate my involvement - I always put *SPOILER* in the topic and I put a LOT of

** SPOILER SPACE **

before any spoiler.

My catch-22 is that yes it is a spoiler for the spoiler section, but it is also Season 5 - I think I cover myself with the aformentioned ** SPOILER SPACE ** coverage. I'd rather have it here with the Lostees I have grown up with in the forums, rather than making you go to another sedction.

Respectfully, that is why we have a Spoilers page in the first place.. It is to avoid having to put special labels on titles and to avoid people accidentally seeing the content (if I misclick, or if my mouse rolls over the title, I see the content written, etc.) Also, it sends the message that its OK to post Spoilers on the page - some people are not as considerate as you. (i.e. "Interview with Cast Member" sounds innocent but often leads to spoilers).

I Propose a Link to a move of the SPOILERS page to the Water Cooler next to General Discussions and the various Seasons!!

i almost used your thread labelling as an example of the kinda warning required lol but deleted it as i didnt want you to interpret that as i was picking on you specifically :)

enough with the stupid spoiler crap. I have NEVER seen a spoiler that was not labeled ...EVER. They've all have had spoiler spaces and/or said spoiler in the title.

well...i have seen several threads and comments within threads that have contained spoilers and there has been no warning - the one about wednesday was a spoiler in my opinion. is it rude to ask people not to ruin my enjoyment of the show? not really - there wasn't anything abusive in my request so whats the problem?

unless you repeatedly do it yourself, I dont see how this affects you in any way?

that still doesn't make it right. and not everyone is as courteous as Xmasdvd with scrolling down a major bit before

You are definitely not the culprit Xmas - your posts are always clearly labeled and you always leave space to give people a chance.

I noticed in another thread that someone said something similar to "don't read this if you don't want to know what happens, jack dies". That's not what was said as I didn't want to give anything away, but that post didn't give anyone much of a chance to not see the spoiler - if it's true.

Are you kidding??? There are constantly possible spoilers being thrown out there with no warning... i have seen them over and over again so i know its true.. i wouldn't be complaining about it if it wasn't true.

That's probably the simplest solution right there. As sad as it is (and I'm including myself) most of us are to lazy to scroll down the page and check on the Spoilers/Theories section. If spoilers was bumped up with the rest it would make it easier for everyone to get them seperated.

By the way is anyone else kind of confused by the Theories section? Isn't that what every section kinda is ?

By the way, I consider episode titles a type of spoiler.

..Here's a spoiler title for you - "go away"
Now what do you think that means?? Hmmmm...did I spoil it for you?

I see no reason for a whole section dedicated to spoilers themselves, so long as spoiler warnings are used in thread titles. If anyone is stupid enough to post spoilers without warning, they could be banned. And as for those who may not be able to watch Lost right away, it could be required to put a spoiler warning for the latest episode for a week or so.

Can't you see where about's I'm coming from? There is a Section just down the page for Spoilers so what's the point in having that there if everyone posts them inside the Season 5 Section?

Exactly, there is no point. Why can't we talk about what will happen in the latest season, so long as we give a warning to other who may not necessarily want to know about it yet? If you see a thread with the word "Spoiler" in the title, noone is going to point a gun at your head and force you to click on it(or at least that is unlikely).

WHAT !!!???? OH NO....

oHHH..thank goodness !!!!

and I agree with ORT and Im sure others on here that you are def NOT the culprit XMAS....I always enjoy reading what you have to say and when it says "Spoiler" and yes, you always post that if there is one, if I choose to read it then I do.

I agree that Xmasdvd is not the culprit here.

I relate the issue to this....If i have to miss a football game because of work, and I record it to watch later at home, I don't want to know the score. I wouldn't listen to the radio, watch the news, or do anything else that would "spoil" the game for me. Or, it like when someone tells you the ending to a movie.

These people who don't want to have thier show *spoiled*, do you live in a cave? Because you can pick up a magazine, watch a commercial, surfin through the net and find info about what's happening on LOST. So Lighten up on Xmas! Do you ever visit any of the other LOST sites? WARNING---Do not go there because you may read an episode title!!!:eek:
