flash forwards

ok, so obviously last nights episode was excellent. but what is starting to bother me a bit is that if they show us every week what is going to happen after some people leave the island, whats the point of the show? can anything the survivors do now change the events that will occur in the future? or is this what happens no matter what. Its cool to get glimpses, but i just dont know how they are trying to make this thing play out.

No I think its GREAT they're showing us the future...it allows us to speculate everything leading up to that and as we saw with Jack, it looks like in the end they all are trying to get back. So the storyline leaves a lot of open territory...we have no idea how they got to where they are, no idea how they get off, still so many unanswered questions regarding Ben, the Others, Dharma (oh I could go on haha), and we have no idea if they ever get back! So I think they still have a lot to show us, hopefully they can answer everything in 3 seasons!! :D

ok so i was thinking the same thing the other day and i am thinking what if this season continues with flashforwards, and then season 6 will be AFTER the flash forwards, and everyone will somehow get back to the island! i mean i dont think the writers would end the series with everyone that is off the island unhappy and we have no idea what is going on. so that is what i think will happen, and i reallly hope im right cuzz then like you say vanni11, whats the point of the show?

i think at the end of finale season, we are going to need a "fight club" recap that zips back to various points throughout the series and shows us the reality of what we previously watched...but with different meaning now that we know what we will know

does this make sense at all to anyone but me haha

unless all these flashforwards are Desmond's premonitions, which we know can be changed.

i think we will get at least 6 FFs in this series - one for each of the oceanic 6.

remember last week we did not have any so i dont think eve5y ep will include one.
