Has anybody discussed the possibility that the wheel Ben turned may be the steering wheel from the Black Rock?

I have read that I am not sure if it was here though, looks like it could be from the Black Rock.

I don't really think that could be. The Black Rock is old, but not that old.
plus, look at it.

That is one heck of a steering wheel. Pirates of the Caribbean style.

Aren't there other wheels on the ship that are bigger, like the one for the anchor? Just throwin it out there.

Yeah, the frozen wheel is similar to the wheel that would have been used to pull up the anchor. I can't remember the name of it, but there is a thread somewhere on here that discusses it and has links to pics of the "anchor wheel."

Yeah, I remember that one, it did look like a part of the ship.
Did you guys/gals notice how lock was getting to the Orchid in the preview after last weeks episode? He was going down a well on a rope. That definately sounds like the work of the Black Rock mining slave crew.

I think the implication with the wheel may be more that the island is sort of like a ship, but one that moves through time instead of the ocean.

I hope it has something to do with the ship. Something about that seems very interesting to me.

Wow! So okay, the wheel acts like an anchor hoister? damn i didnt think of that! so maybe turning the wheel pulls up the anchor holding the island in place along with the energy build-up when the wheel is actually turned? am i kinda on the right track here?
So then Locke turning the wheel backwards or just turning it again will drop the anchor thus making the island stop time jumping and maybe visible to Widmore once again?
??

hey, alright. That's pretty good. It makes sense even without it being connected specifically to the Black Rock, but that'd be cool if it was.
