Charlotte said when she was young some crazy old man told her never to come back and she said it was faraday. When you see jacob in the cabin he has long hair and a long beard. I think somehow faraday gets stuck on the island and becomes jacob

Did she say old man? Anyway I think Daniel went back to tell her not to come back because as we just saw she died.

I'm pretty sure that it will be the Dharma employee Faraday that we see at the beginning of this season. Charlotte said her family worked for Dharma, so I could see Dan hassling her around the barracks.

Also when she said her and her mother got off the Island I thought her mother was Miss Hawking but it turns out she is Daniels mother

you may be on to something.... Is it possible for Jacob to change??? Christian was referring to himself as Jacob "when you came to my cabin" etc.

We also see Faraday working in the DI, if he in fact was a DI worker Charlotte would have known him? But we do know that she knows Eloise because that is her constant. When was Faraday born?

I got the impression that Charlottes mother is Annie - meaning Ben could be her father.

But it makes sense. Annie was part of Dharma and Ben likely saved her before the purge.

I thought Christian was referring to himself as Jacob when he siad that also.

When did Eloise become her constant?
I thought for a minute she was gonna say that Dan was her dad. But Dan could've been the same age and just looked really old and crazy to her as a child. When they showed him in the season premiere he looked about the same age and that was Dharma time.

Charlotte's death (and perhaps others die too) was probably the reason Dan was crying when he saw the footage of Flight 815 submerged.

My thoughts exactly Ortrules. Annie is her mother. I am not so sure Ben is her father only because he didn't act like it when he met up with her after she landed. She knew about the polar bear and the well. I knew she had been there before from when she landed in that tree and said she felt like she was home. Why doesn't Dan remember. It is kinda weird he said he loved her.

Dan doesn't remember because he hasn't experienced it yet. At some point soon Dan is going to flash back to the past and tell her she will die.

Right. Dan hasn't gone back to that point in time yet. Charlotte will grow up knowing Dan after he tells her that she will die when she comes back to the island. However, since Dan travels from 2005 back to that point, this event hasn't happened for him yet.

If Charlotte was Ben's daughter, it is slightly possible that he did not recognize her as his daughter because she had grown up and looked different.. sort of a stretch, but maybe..

i thought this aswell initially but what confuses me is - annie would have then had to give birth on the island - ok, we dont know at what point the pregnancy issues started. ALSO ben was in his very early 20s for the purge - im guessing to remember charlotte must have been 4/5 at least before she left so annie would have had to given birth quite young.

I don't think Dan is Jacob. I never had the impression that he was part of the DI. That scene with him wearing the DI clothes made me think he was under cover on a mission that he traveled back in time for. He was looking for the source of everything he'd been studying.

I do have a feeling that he's the reason a lot of this is messed up (time). I think that his curiosity has triggered something and maybe Ben has been trying to clean up the mess.

I think last nights episode gave Ben a piece of his missing puzzle as to who may have started that mess too???
