It was supposed to be Locke turning the wheel from the begining. Ben weasled his way into turning the wheel and sscrewed the island up. Dont trust that shady character

Don't blame Ben for the flashes. It was Locke that didn't relay the message correctly after speaking to Mr. Shepard! After coming out of the cabin Ben asked Locke what he was told, and Locke said we need to move the Island. So Locke forgot the key word in his instruction which was HE (Locke) needed to move the Island. So, because of Locke and his lack of courage and true faith from time to time, he caused the flashing to occur since HE hesitated and was afraid to move the wheel because it was an unknown thing.
Either way, this episode was another great on! also since Locke finished turning the wheel does that mean that the O6 will be stuck in the next flash era? (since the wheel is no longer off it's axis and therefore skipping?)

I interpreted Christian's comment to mean LOCKE screwed up. Locke didn't follow Christian's instructions.

i do agree its lockes fault bc he so easily let ben turn the wheel, but when it came time to actually turn the wheel didnt locke say something like "i was suppose to do it" and ben replied something like, "no he wants me to do it, this is his way of punishing me." or something to that affect? i could be wrong but thats what im thinking.

I think we should be questioning Christian rather than Ben. If Christian didn't want the O6 off the island, he could have stopped them.

I think it's obvious that Ben has his own agenda and it has nothing to do with what is best for the island or the Losties. So now we're left to question whether they are really supposed to return to the island at all. Maybe all the warnings not to ever come nack or bring the little ones back are genuine and in the Losties best interest. Maybe they really are supposed to do the opposite of what Ben says!?

Sayid has been the best judge of character on this show. He has a special gift and he now syas Ben is a liar and do the opposite of what he says. I tend ti think Sayid is on to something

I've been saying it all along too. Don't go back!! I know I wouldn't !!going back there isn't gonna do any good .
Remember when ben tells jack to pack his bag cause he was never coming back? So why go to the island if you can't never come back again?
Don't trust ben!
Sayid is the man!

But b-rod, if they don't go back, they can't rescue Claire or Sawyer or Juliet or anyone else on the island.

That's what they tell us! We don't know if its true.
For all I know all of them could just go down the orchid and one by one turn the wheel and get out of there and show up in tunisia one by one. They would all be safed.

man i think the only reason ben took johns spot on the wheel is cause he wants to find a kill penny for pay back for alex. then john comes back and find ben tells him whats going on and some how john dies and gives jin's ring to ben .

Also, it is suppose to be John Locke who brings ("convinces") them all to come back, but it looks like Ben is weasiling his way in as well. He is the one "convincing" them. John promised Jin he would not let Sun return and we see Ben is "convincing" her to return.
Ben is not suppose to go back....this is his way of getting back!

The way Mrs. Hawking did not mess with the death of the guy in the red shoes tells me that she is neutral in this time traveling. As some kind of Time Lord, she will do what is best for the workings of Time. She may be sending some back to their deaths. She is not going to save everyone or even anyone because she will only seek to get them back to where their destiny can be played out according to Space and Time. (on the island) I love her ominous character and that she is a take charge lady just as she was with Desmond! Definitely a match for the character of Ben in strength of mind! She even seems somewhat sinister, too, IMO.
And I wonder that some who strongly protest like Sayid, Kate and Hurley, have had a premonition or intuitive feeling that they will die if they go back?

Sayid is typically correct in his assumptions. I think the only time he was wrong was when he tortured Sawyer - though Locke had some influence over that.
But in general I would trust Sayid's judgement.

I think Ben knew the Island would have to be moved before they even searched for Jacobs cabin. He also had to of known Christian Sheppard was in the cabin and that's why he didn't go in, but rather sat on a log eating half of Hurley's mallowmar. He usually allows Locke to do the prepwork while Ben oversees until he wants to take over.

He definatley wants redemption for the death of Alex. I don't think John gave Ben the ring. I think Ben took it when he died.

Yes he definatley wants back. But if he's not suppose to; then what happens?? I think he will indeed get back and it will screw thing up!
