I wonder if the bearing that Daniel told Frank to stay on to get back to the freighter is the same bearing that Ben gave Michael?

Yah I agree, I think they are the same coordinates. I think Ben's spy on the freighter who is most likely Michael warned them before they took off for the island to stay on the same coordinates.
